  • Hi

Can either Diane or Marshalla get back to me please
I have had my THIRD letter from Northern Rock today stating that they do not have any knowledge of me having PPI with them and as such this is their final letter
I am absolutely livid so I have just rang them and said "if you have no knowledge then how come I have got a copy of the policy and sent it to you and also send you a copy of my direct debits with the same reference number of which you are still taking £89 a month out of my account" they said they didnt have any knowledge of this and I said but I have sent this to you recorded delviery! Now I am mad and I am informing you that as of now I am cancelling my £89 direct debit a month and I bet my life on it that you will sure as hell find my PPI forms now!!
I have just gone online and cancelled the PPI direct debits but now what do I do? Shall I just copy all the letters I have sent them including my PPI document and send it to the financial ombudsman?!

Just had a reply to my asking for a copy of the complaint sent to LLoyds on our behalf about the unfair rebate

    complaint about Society of Lloyd's

Please find enclosed details of a complaint enquiry we have been asked to consider in respect of the named policyholders. The complaint concerns the level of rebate received on the policy on settling the loan early. The policyholders believe that the level of rebate provided was unfair and would like the issue investigated further.

The enclosed information includes a completed complaint form, and the relevant policy documents confirming Lloyds Syndicate 779 and 582 to be part of the consortium of insurers who underwrite the policy.

We ask that you review the enclosed, and in accordance with your internal complaints handling procedures, contact the policyholders to address the complaint.

We will take no further action on this enquiry unless prompted to do so by the policyholders further to the conclusion of your internal complaints handling procedure. However, we have advised the policyholders that we have asked you investigate the complaint. You should therefore treat this as notification of the complaint enquiry.

I trust this enquiry is in order, however, please contact us should you need to discuss the matter further.

    Yours sincerely

And this was the reply to asking about this
Further to your email, please find below the main contents of the letter sent to The Society of Lloyds. I have omitted it's contact details as we are not allowed to disclose this information to consumers.

I trust this information further explains the actions we have taken on this case. We will now await your further updates.
    Yours sincerely

    Hi there

Seems like they are being messed about here, so I would personally now go to the FOS from here and enclose copies of what you have in correspondence to support your case.

You can contact the FOS for a hardcopy through the post or download a form online here:
    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

    Good luck hunni.
Keep us posted and keep at them.;)

So this is what the FOS sent them then?

When I requested for details about the HFC, when the FOS said they sent them, they said they were not allowed to do this...... , why they said that I do not know and now its does make me think if they really did send the details to HFC as they did confirm they did not receive any details from them.

If its been 8 weeks now and they have sent you a final response on this I would just get this into the Ombudsman. I think this must be so frustrating for you and they are obviously in some sort of breach of even acknowledging the complaint under the correct complaints procedure. I would also inform them that you are now contacting the OFT and FSA about them doing this and causing you unnecessary stress. Definately let the other authorities know about this too.

Yeah, that is what they wrote on my behalf but if they have enclosed the complaint that I wrote in the first place it was using the calculations that I had tiggrae check out and they are VERY wrong... I hope that this has not messed this one up and I get a chance to respond to LLOyds again with the correct workings... . I really hope I get this chance although I don't think on the actual complaints form (if this is what they have sent on to LLoyds) i used ANY figures at all, I think I just said I had received a very unfair rebate.

They are clamping down on these I think Di but if in your terms and conditions it states that you are allowed this then you could perhaps argue it but it may say something like a the societys discretion.

Just checked in the terms and conds and it does not mention anything like society's discretion, and going by what it reads we are eligible......
