    Could somone please help me?

I took out a 5K loan from barclaycard over 2 years. I'm wanting to cancel the payment protect on it. Have rang barclaycard every friday for the last month saying i want to cancel. Every time i'm told they're are going to send me documents out and should arrive in the next 5 working days. I'm really sick now as i have had to pay another PPi installement and it is looking like i'll have to pay decembers as well!!! I really don't know what to do i'm sick of getting past from pillow to post. Can anyone suggest what my next course of action should be? I'm considering sending them a letter saying that "unless i receive what i have requested in the next 14 days i'll assume my loan has has been canceled and i dont have to pay the remaining balance" (like that'll fly). Dare bet if i miss a payment they'll be in touch a hell of a lot sooner that a month!!!

    Thanks in advance

    David

    Hi David

I would write to them recorded letter that is then an official document.

Was the PPI front loaded (am sure it was) they will cancel the PPI and you will then have to take out a new loan. Phone calls seem to get lost on systems:rolleyes:. If you feel the PPI was miss-sold you can then write and ask them to repay the PPI you have already paid. Have a look through the Claim 1000 red tab on the Home page of this site and have a read through.

If you need any other help then post on here and am sure somebody will help you through. Good Luck:D

I am confused here. Are they saying they will repay the money AFTER you have finished paying the loan back to them??
yes im pretty sure the are but dnt no whether to accept this or ask for payment immediatly

    Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't say it was mis sold, as when i took out the loan i'd just started my job so was on a trial period. I took out the PPI while on this trial period just incase i was not kept on. Although i wasn't aware that you could get PPI elsewhere than from the lender.

OK thats fine if you feel you were not miss sold but if this was a front-loaded PPI they put that on the loan total and add interest this is now seen as bad practice, so you may be able to claim it back. Also did you tell them it was a trial period? I would be very surprised if they would have paid this out if it was a trial period:confused: They find lots of ways to get out of it.

Anyway saying the above. Write to them and make sure you send it recorded delivery so somebody the otherside has to sign for it. Usually you have to give them a months notice.

If that was the case they are cheeky bleeders That is your money. Ask for it to be sent to you by cheque now you should not have to wait. Also make sure they are paying back all that is due to you;)
