OOps sorry !
The loan was taken out in Oct 2003
Finished Oct 2008
No penaltys etc no missed or late payments.
No final settlement of the loan just the normal payment as the final one.
First letter wrote to ask for the PPI was Oct 2007, Various letters have come and gone with no joy so i asked the FOS to take it on which they did in Feb 2008 and i had the letter the other day say that the Royal Bank of Scotland would refund using the A,B,C method.
Thats the last letter i had from FOS. They also said that i should recieve a payment in 6-8 weeks if not to contact them.
Sorry i dont know what eles to add im not too good with stuff like this !0 -
Hi,
first off thanks again for the help.
Settlement as sent to me
"
Current Balance as of 5th June £40,960.03
Interest due on 15th June £301.74
ADD interest from last payment due to 3rd July £178.56
ADD early settlement interest £1810.44
Legal fees £150
Total Payable £43,400.77
"
what other figures do you need? All I know is we paid £300'ish per month the loan was for £30,000 and we had a fee of £900.
Thankyou0 -

Hi Marshallka
Yes have done books and VAT and wrote a little note to the FOS about my settlement (I was a bit sarcastic, I know that probably shocks you all:rotfl:) Did you see my post on Friday re Xmas Cards etc.
Am just going up to send son's passport off and get some tree lights then I am going to make my sitting room look less like an office.
I am trying to get my head round the figures you posted as well. Only just quickly went through so hopefully will look through later:eek:
Hope you had a good weekend. Have you put decorations up yet? My kids keep nagging but seems a bit early. Saying that everyone else round here has house decorations up. It looks like a grotto:eek::mad:0 -

Hi there hun
So they said on the phone when you first contacted them that they had docs to send you, am I right ?
So just to remind me this was only recently I believe that you requested for the SAR?
I would give them the legal time they have hun which is 40 days from the day they have the letter to get back with the documents, just in case they have some and plan to send them out at a later date.
Did you also put a request in writing for the SAR?
Thanks hun, just need to be sure on a few things first, with my SAR especially with Lloyds TSB it had taken exactly the 40 days for me to receive the documentation of the SAR.
In fact I only received further paperwork over a week ago after receiving wads of SAR a few months ago......Lloyds again lol.
See what happens by the 40 days and we shall have a think on here hun.
Just keep us posted as you have been doing.;) :A

Hi Di
I sent SAR request in writing on Nov 4th. When I rang a few weeks ago they said they would send docs out. I'm not sure if I'm flogging a dead horse here.0 -

I wish I was a good teacher about the figures thing but I know they are right in that if I did not have the PPI I would have been charged more at settlement anyway cause of the stupid rule of 78... (GRRRRRR!!). I have worked them back and back again and they are definately right.
Glad you got the VAT and books done and dusted.
Catch you later maxdp..;)0 -

Hi hun
So they have about the 14th or 15th DEC then to provide the full SAR going by my workings out on dates, so by the end of this week then really, call it the weekend, with a bit of luck further paperwork will be sent.
Perhaps you could give them a call just to ask if there is anything further to come back just in case, but unfortunately as its beyond the 6 years, this may not be possible, although I were lucky with some of mine over 6 years from my bank though this was.
I received mine in dribs and drabs.
Hope you get lucky with these hun.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
