The FOS had wrote themselves to HFC hun, this one is the one that HFC reckons they had not received the details from them, but because I emailed them I now think they traced back at my complaint against EPF who are linked to them which I complained about them at an earlier stage and gone by that one and not the one from the HFC......
This will be the 4th attempt now.......:rolleyes:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Me again; this is the letter i sent off, is there something wrong with it?
I received a reply from Welcome a week after sending almost, this is their reply.
Dear Sirs
Your ref: 1234
Thank you for your letter of concerning the above.
We find the letter confusing in that it simply lists a number of statements loosely based on FSA rules without explaining the actual nature of the customers complaint.
If you genuinely believe we failed to deal with all the items listed when we sold the insurance then please confirm this. Otherwise please specify in detail the exact nature of the complaint so that we do not waste anybodys time, particularly the customers.
When we receive this we will retrieve our files and investigate.
Should we not recieve a response from you within 8 weeks then we will close our file.
Yours....
Whats my response now?
Thanks
Hello there hun
Right it seems to me they are using stalling tactics here.
Please remind me when you sent this and when you received this, thanks.
I would write back and tell them:
"Regarding my letter dated xx/xx/xxxx, I would like to confirm your query as you claim you were confused in this matter"
In answer to your query to make this more clearer to you, I believe this Payment Protection Policy was not sold fairly to me on XX/XX/XXXX.
I believe I made my reasons clear enough to understand and would appreciate it if you considered my complaint, or I will have no option but to take this to the Financial Ombudsman to investigate.
You have 8 weeks as from my last letter dated XX/XX/XXXX which is ample time for you to consider my complaint.
(as usual post by recorded post), but yes it seems to me they are stalling this.
Don't worry hun, because if they don't give you a favourable response you could have the chance to take to the FOS for them to take a look at this for you.;)

Dear Miss P
Further to your recent complaint.
I write to advise that at the present time we have been unable to resolve the issues raised to your satisfaction.
I hope that your complaint can be resolved soon and will contact you again shortly.

Its been 5 weeks since 1st letter sent. Do I wait for another letter or do I send 2nd letter now???
Hi there.
They have 8 weeks to respond hun, if you they have not responded by then, I would then continue to take this to the Financial Ombudsman service.;)
Hope you hear sooner rather than later and good luck.;)

Hi All
Just wanted to post what a !!!!!! day I have had today. I learnt that a very dear and admired colleague died today. When working on an acute mental health Adolescent Unit you get so used to relying on your colleagues. When you go in for your shift you look who is on the rota and you know if it is going to be a good or bad day. I worked with this person about five years ago on nights he was a trained member of staff and he was the most wonderful, funny, charasmatic, supportive individual I think I have ever worked with. He loved his family and his children so much, he was handsome. knowledgeable, and what more can I say. His life support was turned off today he was 47. He got an infection and died within a week. I am so devastated.
I know when somebody dies everybody says what a wonderful person they have been. Even if they were a complete !!!!!! people are nice. What I am saying is that he was genuinely a wonderful warm lovely human being and I send all my love to his family children and newly born grand child.
I know this is not PPI but it has been a bad day. I know nobody can made if better and I do not expect anybody to say anything to make it better cause you cannot. I just wanted to share it with you all.:embarasse:mad:0 -
Hi
We have a loan with first plus and when we took it out, 03/06, we were told to take out PPI insurance this gives cover for 5 years. We are then eligable for cash back of the insured sum.
Insurance arranged by first plus with Barclays insurance Dublin
As we get the value of the insurance back after 5 years is this a missell?
any help appreciated

((((Maxdp)))) sorry you have had a bad day. It's horrible when someone dies. You sound like a very caring, loving person and I'm sure that guy thought the same about you as you did about him.
