In all of my loans I was sold a single premium loan policy, What type of letter should i send to get all my loan agreements back?
Thanks Richard
Just say that you are requesting copies of the agreements of any loans that you had with them.0 -
Hi,
we have tried to reclaim PPI missold (due to not one but 4(!) reasons) from our loan with first plus. Because we got the first plus loan through freedom finance, first plus told us it was freedom finance we had to pursue. However we have now discovered that freedom finance are called 'bespoke' and they claim its nothing to do with them (and bespoke are conveniently holed-up in gibraltar) and bespoke even sent us a letter saying the financial ombusman couldn't do anything as we took out the loan august 2003 (8 weeks before this sort of thing was 'covered' by the FO they claim). Please note we remortgaged and paid off first plus 2007 so no longer have that 'problem' but feel pretty annoyed that £15K of PPI was mis-sold to us.
Does anyone know if we have any chance of getting this PPI back or should we just knock the idea on the head.
Also although Bespoke are in GIB they hold a CCL here in the UK. You really need to make a lot of complaints to everywhere with this one. I would send a letter of complaint about this being allowed and let the OFT know this and also the FSA. I know that you can not go to the FOS with this complaint but don't give up. There are a lot on here that are fighting this now.
Do you have any documents from the loan and PPI and does anything actually mention Bespoke on the documents.
There are always the courts you know and you can make them responsible for this in the UK as like I say they hold a CCL in the UK.0 -
it was organised by freedom finance, i have no info but the dd ref who should I send the letter to?
Di has done the template above for you..0 -

If you are making a complaint about the misselling here then you need to send out a seperate letter (I would as this is also proof of sending this) by recorded delivery too.
You should only need one letter of complaint with each agreement number and dates on etc if they are with the same company.
Just take a look at the link here and see what you can add and delete from the letter that you send. There is also a template letter on there too but sometimes it can be better to make your own up from this.
You then write to the firm that actually made the sale of the PPI to you if this is different from the lender and don't forget to send this recorded delivery so you always a proof and dates etc.
After that you have to give them 8 weeks for a full and final response. In this time it is usual to get a response of "sorry we sold this to you fairly" but you then respond to this and reiterate your complaint again. The next time they write they either give you a final response which you would need in order to take this complaint to the FOS or offer to settle.

Good luck
(you send template number 1 first in any complaint but I would try to concoct your own letter from template 1 - it always looks better!!)0 -

Hi Jacseb
I have a complaint in with FF, ask for your SAR before you complain then you know you will receive all the info, not that I'm saying they will exclude some.
They told me they did not start recording telephone calls until mid Jan 04, what month did you take out your loan. Also they were only regulated by FISA in 04 and they won't help because they are no longer members  .
However the FSA regulated them on 31 Oct 04.
Wonder if we had the same broker, they told us if we can't afford ppi then don't think we be looking at the loan, this took our option away.
You need to send your SAR request to FF as they were the broker whom sold you the loan + ppi
If you need any help there is a lot a people on here with good advice, good luck
I also sent a copy of my complaint letter to the OFT, FSA, Information commission, they can't help but they would have read my letter and remembered who I was complaining about:wave:0 -
Advice please.
I had a 4 year car loan and I feel that I was mis-sold the loan insurance because the car salesman at the time told me that the only way I could get the loan for the car was to take the Payment Protection Insurance out. I have since paid up the car loan so nothing is outstanding. Can I claim back the PPI even though the car loan has expired? I wrote to Hyundai who told me that I can't claim on something that has since expired. They said that just cos I didn't use the policy, I can't claim it back.
So this first letter was a refusal by them. Is it worth writing back to them a second time refusing to accept their answer> Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks0 -

Hi there and Welcome.
It does not make any difference if the loan is settled or not, if you feel you were mis sold for some reason yes you have every right to try and reclaim your PPI back.
Check this out here:

There is also a 2nd letter template you can use, tell them you would appreciate it if they could reconsider, were there covered by GISC or the FSA do you know?
Post by recorded delivery, and please let us know the outcome in order to help you to the next step, good luck and hope your successful first time.
