    A score of 72% overall...

More desperate, made up statistics from a desperate UW distributor trying to flog a dead horse  :rotfl:

What's the difference between customer service & customer support anyway?

Edit: Oh, the OP has removed the post!!!

    1) Ebico are not a charity.

    2) Could you post the consumption figures and distribution area that would cost you £130 more with ebico compared to UW, and presumably even more than £130 with ebico compared to Scottish Power who you decided to move to please.

1? Apologies, they are I believe a not for profit organisation run by a charitable trust?

    2) Of course, 6000 kwhs in the Yorkshire region. Saving comes to £155.58 per annum. Of course, there would be £21 club fees to pay (unless this was shared over any other services you took, of course) so I was wrong...the saving would be actually precisely £134.58.

Edit as I've just seen your other comment. I actually believe it may be you who is 'flogging the dead horse' here, Premier. ;)

All Suppliers build in the cost of their sales/marketing into their prices.

With the exeption of the uw.

On top of their prices they also charge all customers a monthly membership fee for their "discount" club (though they don't give you any discount for being a member!)

They sneakily don't include this charge in their much advertised (though false and misleading) "triple guarantee", which makes "guarantee" even more worthless.

    6000kWh at standard rate?

Perhaps you need to start looking at some serious energy saving measures.

Of course there are cheaper suppliers than ebico at that high consumption level. The ebico business model provides for a one price per unit to all and therefore is attractive to low users and those on PPMs

The major 6 concentrate on higher users who produce higher profits for the supplier.

But your figures are quite revealing in regards to the subject matter of this thread i.e. UW

UW are over 25% more expensive than the cheapest option (EDF Online 6 according to Energyhelpline) and 5 of the major 6 suppliers all offer cheaper rates than UW. Perhaps that's why they don't get mentioned very often ;)

:rotfl: Can we chalk that one up as a victory for me, then? Yiou challenged me thinking I was telling porkies and made yourself look a right berk  . Seriously, Premier, I get accused of working for UW just because I try and put some perspective into these sorts of threads. What's your excuse with Ebico?

PS You're comparing online accounts with a company that sends you fully itemised paper bills. Stop blustering because you've been found out.

And with British Gas the saving over Utility Warehouse would be 22%! And that does not include the membership fee. How much is that saving in your region?

You must work for Utility Warehouse to publish such partisan rubbish.

??? Is it your numeracy or literacy or sequiturcy you are having trouble with this morning?

Seems like the cold is affecting your powers of reasoning again, KY (you were never anywhere near the top of the class for this in any case). Get your heating on and read the thread again - I was challenged to prove the figures I quoted and did. I ALSO INCLUDED THE MEMBERSHIP FEE IN MY CALCULATIONS. What the heck has this got to do with British Gas? The thing you, Cardew, Premier, Quentin et all have in common is you just don't know how deep the hole should get before you stop digging. :rotfl:

The most revealing thing about your post above is that only 5 of the big 6 have much cheaper tariffs for electricity.

Same in my area with(for 6,000kWh pa) BG click 6 being 28% cheaper than UW.

Even the tariff much derided as the most expensive on the market - the dreaded BG Standard tariff - is 7% cheaper than UW.

    Statistics eh!

The bottom line is that UW doesn't compete on price with the majority of other providers. However for a modest monthly membership fee you can join UW's club and experience those high prices for yourself.
