    morning all!

very very tired today, my uncle is up visiting my mum for a few days and had some kinda chest pain/angina type turn last night. Mum was frantically phoning me while i was dying my hair.... so i was ignoring the phone, altho picked it up on the second ring. He didn't have his GTN spray, silly twit, so we called NHS24 for advice, they sent an ambulance and he is in ARI... the paramedic said no point going with him but to call in the night to see how he was, and he is fine they are just being safe given he has cardiac history and a pacemaker. We've to call again this morning, well mum has. I've come to work but am very very tired....

However what with the hoohah, my hair dye had aaaages to take and looks rather fabulous! so every cloud n all that.

Haven't got my usual midweek early swim due to the gaping wound in my arm that used to be my contraceptive implant.... sorry if it's a bit early for condoms, but i thought i'd give you a laugh, to avoid babies while i am contraception-less, we have to use condoms. Currently the supply given to me by the nurse is sitting on top of the microwave in the kitchen... i'm thinking about opening a book as to when we'll move them to the bedroom and need them.... i'm thinking Christmas!

  • Squirrely,
Well done on the half stone-Im in need of motivation...I've been trying to sort my head out to get to grips with weight reduction-I put so much on because of the stress/sadness/guilt of this past year and now just feel so low/fat/ugly I can't seem to shift mindset to happiness/joy/content to help me...it's such a downward spiral. *sigh*

  • Maz,
I had a supply of condoms like that-they went out of date before they were used.

Shall we all pick dates? I say Dec 21st.

To be honest, it wasn't a major priority when I started running again, it just happened in the process of getting fitter, and I guess the way my appetite has changed with the running, i.e. only really feel like small meals most of the time. I can't do diets, it makes me obsess about food... and I find it a lot easier to deal with targets like walking/ running a certain number of miles than trying to lose a certain amount.. maybe think of it in terms of getting healthier/ fitter rather than losing weight?

And don't let me hear you call yourself ugly again or there'll be trouble... :p

Maz, do you ever have visitors round... who are going to wonder why there's a pile of condoms on top of your microwave? :rotfl:

  • Right, into the shower for me and going to the town centre with DS for a wee bit of quality time-we'll have to get him a hot wheels and a Mcdonalds as he's upset that Nana has taked DD out and left him behind. Poor wee man.
