for xmas 2008 i bought alot of people fairy doors so that the fairies can get in and out of the house easiy anhd safely from lavender pillow, i found the service good and they issue a paypal invoice (which i prefer for fraud saftey reason online) they were received very well by friends and family as its cruel to catch and hold fairies against their wills they need to be free spirits to roam as they please but at least that way they can get in and out of her bedroom. they even sell them on ebay too
What a fab site, thanks for posting.

My friend is fairy mad and just as an extra this year I did her a fairy in a jar -just a cake decoration sitting in a jar among some tiny flowers and glitter.
Before I found the fairy I was going to do her a small jar of 'fairy magic glitter' and make a tiny wand to put in with it adding small poem to the effect that though the fairy wasn't there she'd left some magic dust for her to make her dreams come true.

I've got some fairy ornaments in a spot in the garden -very small they are and I found a little wooden sign that says 'ssshhh..........fairies sleeping.'
Something like that would make her think there were fairies there

This thread reminds me of when I was little lol ... my mum still has all of the letters I wrote to the fairy in our garden :) She used to write back to me and I'd make her presents, I'm still not entirely convinved that there aren't fairies in gardens somewhere :)

Hi Emily's fairys were recived quite well we had a word with one of santas helpers before we went to see him and he very nicely explained that he'd have a word with the Queen of the fairys to see if she could help him out but that he also didn't think it possible that she would allow Emily a real fairy. We also had a elf come to stay over xmas (http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1111705&highlight=elf ) and that kind of took the shine of the fairy thing!
On xmas morning the fairys arrived with a letter from the Queen explainig that these fairys were exact copys of 2 fairys that live near us and visit our garden regularly one is a spring/ summer fairy named rosebud and the other a autumn / winter fairy named crystal....

I'm thinking of ways to include letters to the fairys now that xmas is over and the fairy door seems such a good idea I had been thinking of getting one but had forgotten I'm thinking one may suddenly magicaly appear one morning with lots of fairy dust arround it........;)
