Tried to increase my credit limit several times with egg - always get rejected despite excellent credit history - no late payments or anything??

    ???
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!
  • Could someone explain what happens on the Aniversary with Egg.
It appears from this forum that there is some benefit bestowed upon us by Egg at this point ? - am I missing something ???

    Please - the curiosity's killing me !

Looking at Cahoot, the 0% is showing on their homepage but when I log in, as a customer, it is not showing the offer.

Does anyone know if it is available to existing customers (who have not had loans with them before, only a current and savings account)?

    Mr B

    Yes, it is.

If it's still showing on the homepage, if you apply for a flexible loan (which is incredibly easy if you are an existing customer) it will be at 0%.

I had a flick through the application process, selecting flexible loan, moving on to selecting credit limit (tried for £20,000 max), moved on to next screen ... offered £8500 at 6.9% and no mention of the 0% - any idea at what point the 0% is confirmed if you are applying as an existing customer?

    Many thanks

    Mr B

I don't think 0% is open to existing customers. I remember something about that anyway...
    I'm married now! Yippee!

It was open to existing customers, but not those who already had a flexible loan.

I heard the offer had been over subscribed and they were going to stop accepting new applications. It looks as if they have now done this - you are too late. It would have been of limited use anyway as it was only 0% until 1st March. As their admin is slow setting the loans up so you wouldn't have got much use out of the interest free period.

    Probably

Up your limit to 15k prior to anniversary then after youve had 5 months drop it down.
  • is £15k Egg's top limit, or most popular top limit?

From information on the discussion boards, £15k is the limit.
