How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

Yer, above the occupations it states '...countersigned by a professional person, including those listed below, or someone of similar standing in the community, who has known you for at least 2 years'.
I guess that could be just about anyone who's not a criminal! Everyone I can think of I know, I would consider of 'similar standing' to some of the occupations listed. I got my last application countersigned by my local Publican.0 -

I would totally agree with a Publican being of "similar standing" and I am sure that there are a myriad of other professions/occupations/positions that would fit the bill.
