I have my sons application filled in and have dated it 14/10/08.
I have a job interview where I need my passport so can't send it out yet not til November 14th. If I send it out in november will the form still be valid due to the October date0 -

Surely you know a teacher, chemist, social worker, engineer, Manager of a VAT registered Company (no matter how small), etc?

Never knew I could sign before reading that link :T
Odd that I can't see doctor on the list, I know that doctor's can no longer sign for their patients but I thought they could sign for friends.

jaymoe,
I filled in my sons passport application back in March, got it countersigned, then left it on a shelf until the end of April. We took it to the post office who advised that the passport agency would probably reject it with the countersignatury date being significantly different to the present date. As we were going away two months later and the passport lot were thinking about going on strike, I redid the form.
I think the post office inspected the documents (including my passport and my wifes passport) and gave them back to us, so nothing got sent off - but that was for a kids first passport and not renewing one of our own.
I am not sure if that answers your question, but if it does it does, and if it does not it might be useful to someone else!

The documents are scanned, which is why block capitals are insisted on as they scan the clearest. I accept this is a little slower, but there is not that much to complete IMHO.
I would never request payment, though I have accepted a drink bought to me as thanks! Don't know how anyone has the neck to charge £40!
What's your day job?How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

This is for my sons first passport. Me and my O/H wanna take him away for Christmas so the time is getting short now. Might just take it up the post office at the weekend, especially if they dont actually send my passport off.0 -

Not at all - I'm sure he has a lunch break! :rotfl: :rotfl:So you're probably filling them for free for friends in your own time as opposed to somebody like Toothsmith who is filling them in when he could be earning money doing "dentist stuff" (I believe that's the technical term)0 -

In my lunch breaks I'm trying to keep up to date with all the paperwork to do with the regulations foisted on me by civil servants!
