AOL 'stole' my BT Broadband... HELL WEEK!

Options
So our internet in the office wasn't working on Monday last week.

After being told by BT to go buy a new hub as ours was faulty we called them again to be told: "you cancelled your account"

We hadn't.....

I nagged and nagged until they dug deeper into the 'problem' and then a female told me: "OH my god, your account has been slammed by AOL"

Now Im a techie minded person but 'slammed'??

AOL and BT have both denied any responsibility for this, we have to use a friends internet connection to do minimal tasks online.

BT have now screwed up 3 attempts at reconencting us, OFCOM say they cant do anything as it's internet and we are at our wits end.

Has anyone got any email addresses of the BT directors etc etc as they only have complaints forms online adn they always end up being dealt with by someone who "can't do anything apart from book you another re connection date" of which we have had 4 filed attempts.

:mad::mad:

    Here's the address of Ian Livingston the Chief Executive: ian.livingston@bt.com (got it from here)

    Good luck with sorting things out!

    isn't slamming when one company (ie. AOL) takes over a landline (ie. the OP's) without their concent?

    You probably can't get reconnected to BT without AOL taking off some sort of marker from the line. If there is a marker on the line, AOL will need to do this ... if you're on LLU now with AOL the process is more complicated to move back to non-LLU with BT.
