You can get vouchers for tesco delivery so it's free from the vouchers board-and once you've done a shop, it's dead easy-in fact, most of your things you buy will already be saved to 'my favourites' on the grocery site.

Would be easier, faster and cheaper. Dont be a scaredy cat!
Well said Bunny! I know it is a pain to have to wait for stuff but it is such a bonus not to have to go to the place (shudders at the thought) and there are usually codes on here, I have only paid for delivery twice when the codes all dried up and I just couldn't opt to go there myself. And how much does it cost you to drive there to do it yourself? We tend not to think of that as a delivery charge but it is really. My supermarket shop is a 20 mile round trip to the nearest little one so I reckon it isn't too much of a luxury for the odd week I have had to pay (and then I pick a cheaper slot). The other advantage of doing it online is you can choose to see all the offers first which is what I do and make sure i am not missing a great bogof, I stock up on things like beans and chopped toms and tuna that way and also DS's addiction to cinnamon bagels when they are on offer and then I fill the freezer with them, the driver must wonder what I am going to do with ten packs of them:rotfl: , that has become my routine for doing online shop. And it is such a boon when you don't feel well. And you don't get tempted by other stuff or indeed have a grouchy toddler screaming for a magazine or other treat (or maybe that is just me).

You can also go through a shopping website where you collect points and it tells you whether your shopping is cheaper from asda or tesco (or sainsbury or waitrose)......

I am sure someone will tell you what the website is.......i have dementia

  • Well I finished my top up shop yesterday... took 2 trips and spent £35 so not too bad really. Still more expensive as I didn't get nappies or baby wipes. If I can manage it so I can last until mondays I have the car mondays anyway so could do my shopping then, I will admit I'm fretting too much but I'm so used to just jumping in the car and going! It's like today, I'd love to take the girls out to a playbarn or something as the weather's too miserable to go to the park... but alas, no car... god I miss my car :(

  • Hi IA, can't you share the car depending on who has the girls? It strikes me as a bit sad that you can't take them out but Ste has the car to use? Sorry :o
It's a long and complicated story..

Mine too - hubby is taking the kids out for the day, but all three of them are determined to cause as much devastation as possible before they go.
