Just got off the phone to the housing association and council tax. The council tax HAS to be paid.. but the housing association are ok for me to be in arrears until the HB/CTB goes through so have to cancel the Rent DD and find a way of paying the council tax... :undecided
Have enough to cover the other bills from the money I've saved so feeling a bit better... just need to hope and pray that income support are quick to sort out my reclaim....Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

immoral_angeluk wrote: »Morning all. Tax credits day today but I can't have the car to do my food shopping, so going to have to bite the bullet and shop at our local co-op where everything costs 3x as much as ASDA or tesco. I've got the girls this weekend and no car so not sure what we're going to do... Ironic thing is I recieved my tesco clubcard voucher this morning.. lolwill have to think of something fun.. but I'll be damned if I'm getting the bus anywhere... lol! My idea of hell personally.
Yesterday I finally called up the house insurance and water to change the direct debit details so all my bills are officially switched over now. December will be an interesting month! It'll be the first month I'm officially going solo, with my own money and own bills... but daunting especially as it's the run up to christmas.. _pale_ So needless to say being VERY frugal at the minute and saving every possible penny. Not doing too bad. After tax credits went in today have £291.41 of which I've got to get my essentials. My bills at the moment are... (as close to accurate-estimates obviously)
Gas and electric - £68.50 (Recently revised
Phone, broadband, line rental - £16.72 (based on next months bill - will go up a bit)
Mobile - £35 (recently reduced)
Egg - £20
Pet insurance - £6
Contents insurance - £6.36
Tax credit overpayment - £11
water - £23
= £187.98
Not including rent or council tax... as they should be paid in full by housing/council tax benefit when it goes through.. *fingers crossed while touching wood...*
Bit daunting thinking that it's going to be christmas when my first on my own financially month happens... so really need to be careful and keep an eye on everything. Not going to let anything ruin christmas for the girls. I know they're too young to understand really but it's more in my head I suppose. Just want to do right by them. We'll be ok though, we always are.
Hope everyone's well! I'll stop rambling now! lol

Why not try doing your shopping online? There are usually lots of discount codes floating around if you look for them. I always find I spend less too if I've got my meal plan done and stick to it, its harder to do when you are actually in the shop!0

I just did half of my shop at the local co-op (Couldn't physically carry any more or fit any more on the buggy!!) and it came to £19!! Reckon it's going to easily be another £20 to get the rest... so much for an essentials shop.. my big shop at tesco normally only costs £50!!!! :rolleyes:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Hi Sarah
Make sure you get a Co-Operative Membership card and scan it every time you have buy at the Co-op, nowhere as good as a Tesco Clubcard but better than nothing.

sar,
You can get vouchers for tesco delivery so it's free from the vouchers board-and once you've done a shop, it's dead easy-in fact, most of your things you buy will already be saved to 'my favourites' on the grocery site.
Would be easier, faster and cheaper. Dont be a scaredy cat!Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
Immoral angel is the story of Reimi, an innocent college co-ed, who has been lured to a lonely mansion by an evil scientist who is fascinated with the psychological reactions of animals and humans to stimulation.
Reimi is a captive, forced to bring exquisite pleasure to this mad scientist, while the teacher she had a crush on begins to train as a martial artist.
