How about the original company that installed it ? sometimes they give a longer guarantee.

Just had a quick look on the Glow Worm site, it depends which model but some have a 2 year guarantee. (If its A rated it might have this).

The website also mentions extended guarantees ?

I'm with them and they are excellent been with em for about 2 years now it will cost u £99 for the year or u can choose to pay monthly £8.99
Only thing is u cannot claim for the first 28 days of joining.

I thought this was the saviour I was looking for - but the £99 repair is for British Gas customers only.....I am with Southern Electric!! Running out of options!!!

but even the other deal I linked seems good ( upto £160ish- as opposed to your other £700 quotes ) and you may find them willing to discount if you take a contract at same time

also look at home insurance - some include home emergency cover and will fix a boiler

You are right - this looks like a brilliant option (don't need to be a customer either) - many many thanks

I am still going to call Glow Worm just in case but it looks like my worst option now is to pay £168!!!

If you ring one number they will not include repairs for existing breakage but ring another and they include it within the package!

You can pay one upfront fee for a one-off repair or get suckered into to a year contract..I have been happily suckered in.
