Hi everyone I popped in to update my sig but can't at the moment,it's going to take few days for me to get the balance from MR.T.
I did an online order which was delivered last night.
When driver knocked the door he looked quite upset.
seems his back door of his truck came open and evryone's frozen stuff ended up in the middle of the road!
We offered him a cup of tea but he said no thanks, as he had to get his round finished.
so we've got no pies, froz fish etc etc, and we have to wait for Mr.T to refund for what we didn't get.
We're 'on' for Gold Blend though, now £3.00 so I ordered 8 jars, should last a couple of months the way my DH gets through it, he has at least 10 cups a day!
I'm going to have a goat the muffin recipe in a bit, with choc chips, thanks :TI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Hi Mel, angelnikki has given you some great recipe threads, there is also the Complete Cookery Collection (not up to date I'm afraid, but I'm working on it slowly)
As for cutting down spends in other areas than food, if you look through the Old Style Indexed Collections you'll find loads of ideas for saving money on cleaning, laundry etc.
Good luck!... don't throw the string away. You always need string!

Back from looking around the continental market, and oh boy was I tempted by some of the cured hams they had there! Still, instead I made my way to Tesco and got some value noodles (4 x 7p, while they're still that cheap
), a loaf of bread, an energy drink (I know, I shouldn't...) and some mushrooms, and it came to the grand total of £2.31. Which means tomorrow should be a no-spend day all being well. I had planned to do a roast, but we're going to use stuff up from the freezer to make room for some of the Christmas stuff as we're hosting it at our place this year.
Going to have a go at roasting some wrinkly peppers later today to make little party snacks with - pressing them flat into a square tin and chilling it, then spreading with soft cheese and rolling it up like a swiss roll. Chilled, then cut into little slices on top of bits of crusty bread.
Have a good day everyoneContinually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0 -

I forgot to say in my last post, there's so much information and so many good ideas here that its easy to get overwhelmed by it all; as squeaky says in the Welcome to Old Style thread, the best approach is to pick one thing and work on that, then move on to the next. Good luck ... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
