I find it incrediable that people dont tidy up or anything.

I left my dads house messy when people came to view.
And we got an offer after 2 viewings.
Zero offers when my dad would make everything look just right.
And he had 4 or 5 viewings.

I think people like a little bit of a lived in character.

  • i've sen one with a 2nd bedroom with a kids unmade bed lol

what makes it worse is i am waiting for that house to come cheaper so i can view and maybe make an offer and maybe one day paint over that hideous wallpaper lol
I can beat that! I was doing a viewing with a couple, showing them round a family home, the family were in, we went upstairs to show them the bedrooms, and the daughter was still in bed watching TV!!!!! I was sooooo embarassed!!!

EA tales I have a few.
Walked in on someones husband and his mistress up to no good in the bedroom.
Walked in and someones teenager and GF in bed.
One flat where she had a birthing pool under the floorboards and used to show it to everyone.
A horrible house where there was a suicide and the blood was still in the carpet.
Numerous filthy houses, with used undearwear, tampons, pets (rabbits) etc running around peeing and pooing. Cupaboards all open, dirty ashtrays, rubbish everywhere etc.
A divorce, where the mad husband used to write !!!!! and other words on the walls, and they would be arguing in the house or on the phone during viewings.
Agressive dogs left behing for viewings. Picutures used as dartboards, etc!
One house where the wife didnt want to sell (divorce) and was allways there and drunk and either wouldnt let you in, or would make a nuisence of herself.

    I could go on...........

  • Some of them might be where the landlord is selling so naturally the current tenant doesn't give a monkey's about tidying up.
