I was quite amused by this. It's a collection of bad photos from Estate Agents' websites.

I'll try and see if I've got one cached from a house that sold near me with cat poo in the bathroom on the photos.0

I agree, it's not that hard to tidy up a bit, make the beds and hoover!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

You never know - that might be some peoples idea of tidying up!0 -
I'm an agent, and I have to go round and take to photos for the brochures where I work.
I have seen all sorts, most people are extremely house proud, others, well what can I say, I have to shift underwear from the floor, make the bed, tidy the kitchen, but if its that bad (like those pics) I just wont take any photos, who wants to see a house in that state!! I will always tell the vendor my honest opinion though - otherwise, what are they paying us for? I will tell them if their house smells, needs tidying/cleaning, or anything else that could make it better, ie paiting the god awful bright purple garage door white!!!!
Honesty is the best policy, it might hurt their feelings at first, but otherwise they are being deluded thinking people will buy their house in that state!! xTrainee Wakeboarder, Fashion and celebrity devotee!0 -

Blimey, never thought of that!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
It really is shocking that people can't even be a*rsed to do the easiest of things to sell their house.
However I have got to say I don't really care because it means I would offer alot less...saving me lots of money
as long as the building itself is sound you could leave a dead body in there for all i care....the worst house in the best street comes to mind.If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
I think in some cases the house may be being sold as the couple are splitting and basically nobody wants to make any effort. Other times it is rented or a house where an old person has lived and there are no relatives to sort out the stuff. Mostly it's laziness though - I guess at times the market was so crazy that you didn't need to make much effort to achieve a sale.
We viewed an elderly lady's house where the photos had an ironing board up and it was very cluttered - in fact when we got there the rooms were neat and tidy. The family had cleared most of the rooms, but the estate agent hadn't bothered to take new pictures, which was pretty lazy considering the current market.0 -
i've sen one with a 2nd bedroom with a kids unmade bed lol
what makes it worse is i am waiting for that house to come cheaper so i can view and maybe make an offer and maybe one day paint over that hideous wallpaper lolthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back thenMercilessKiller wrote: »BH is my best mate too, its ok
