Arrived, yes. It's great (design & function wise) BUT there is a problem with it and I'm pretty certain it's going to have to be returned. I'm putting this down to bad luck.
Looks great, nice clear pic, nice blacks, vibrant colours, good contrast, loads of options etc. Watched a HD film on it earlier, looked superbWhen using it as a monitor though (for browsing) I noticed there was a high pitched but very low whistling tone emminating from the LCD screen, even when there is nothing displayed or the speakers are disconnected. I did not notice this earlier as the sound of the film I was watching drowned it out. It is EXTREMELY irritating believe me, like some kind of water torture  If this is not exchanged without quibble I'll be fuming to be honest. The warranty is two years on site, but I've just recieved it and haven't even had chance to fill the warranty card in yet!?
Anyone had dealings with Misco? I'm going to contact them by phone tomorrow, I've already emailed them.
Nothing worse than the excitement of getting a new bit of tech that then turns out to be faulty0 -
Hiya Beardy
Sorry to hear you've had a problem. Is the whine detectable when you turn the sound down? I ask as I am expecting mine Saturday.
Hope they sort it out quick smart, please let us know how you get on.

Sorry, just re-read your post and answered my own question0 -

lol
I contacted Hannspree just a few minutes ago. Got through quickly, bloke on the phone was great. Took my details etc. All I had to do then was email over the invoice (which misco had previously emailed me) and a reference number he told me to quote. He said the telly would be swapped over for a new one :T
The 'new telly' experience has been slightly tarnished, but at least the replacement process is not an exercise in pulling your own hair out, which is usually the case when things of this sort go wrong.
I'm sure the whining sound is a rare occurance, so I wouldn't fret over yours arriving with the same fault, Fern Merkin
I'll report back when the exchange is done & dusted0 -
Seems to be back in stock - I've just ordered. Can't be a disaster at this price can it?0

Does it have a Freeview Tuner built in?0

Well I got mine Saturday! Very nice and just what I wanted.:D
It didn't have the problem Beardy's did so looks like a 1 off issue.
It doesn't have freeview built in and I think that's partly why it's so cheap. I've got cable so not bothered about that anyway.
Delivered when requested and altogether pleased with it all :j0 -
this is really nice looking do the speakers seperate so i could move them round the room?
