    All the best Generali.

This thread just shows that all the advice we give to our children about not meeting strangers from the internet applies to us adults too.

Yes, I suppose so. specially large sites like this, sadly. On the other hand, I have met people through other websites (much smaller and quite spcialised) who have become very dear friends, whose homes I've stayed at and who have visited me and stayed with me too.

Quite few people meet their partners online now too, don't they? That would be a leap of faith:j (jumping smilie struck me as a decent sub for a leap of faith smilie:o )

Sorry again fc123. TBH, under normal circs I'd have ignored the whole thing and gone along with the aim of talking my way out of things if poss and running away if not in the unlikely event of anything happening (I'm pretty quick with the proper motivation).

It's just that I could do without any more problems in my life right now - given my current luck I'd end up having to stay here while waiting for a court case or not get my visa because I'd hit someone whilst defending myself or something.

I'll get in touch next time I'm in London and buy you and OH a nice bit of dinner or something to make it up.
You'd get on great with him too...he's just like me but blokey ;)

And I had a wicked dress sample for Mrs Gen in my bag too.

....oh and don't anyone take notice of PN's wind ups on Hot Dates. She's just being cheeky.

How is Gen going to have time to expalin inflation and fractional reserve banking to us all again when he will be spending his leisure time with toddler son learning to surf (and other exciting Aus hobbies)?

Think of us in the rain and gloom, living under Brown and working all hours to put a few twigs on the fire and a bowl of cabbage broth on the table.

And if Mrs Gen ever needs a nice UK made frock...we post out to Aus too ;)

Once again, 1,000 apologies. If St Gorrrdon keeps printing money then I might have to change that to 10,000 apologies. If we'd stayed on the Gold Standard it would be 5 apologies and we'd still have an Empire.

It seems to me that every time I spend any time with a male member of Mrs Generali's family they collar me for an intensive barbeque cooking course. Now if I can persuade these uncles, cousins etc that I am a lost cause and they need to start on the Generalissimos instead then that'll free up much valuable posting time.

You'll be much better off sticking Brown on the fire and living under twigs.

    Generali's 3 rules of politics:

    1. Never vote for a socialist.
    2. If in doubt see rule 1.
    3. In all other cases, rule 2 applies.

Marvellous. And as the seasons are all the wrong way up down there we'll be able to buy the sale stuff for the new season. Cheap is my 2nd favourite price!
