    Is it?

Do people celebrate Remembrance Sunday, then? I thought they just left flowers and looked sad?

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

It is quite uplifting, when I was there they were having a right good knees up, Tipperary, Pack up your troubles etc. Although it was a while ago so maybe the numbers have naturally diminished somewhat.

I just got a threatening message from IveGotaBig1 so in the interests of my personal safety (and that of others) I'm going to have to cancel. I'm very sorry for the lack of notice but I cannot afford for anything to happen to me just before leaving the country.
    :hello: I didn't see the post....so got there.....couldn't find anyone.....so 'phoned OH.
OH then had to work out how to log in etc and picked up the PM.
Now I am in the doghouse :o ....He went mad...going on about Internet land Psychos, Zombies and nutters bla bla (he's seen it in films apparently)....and what if I had walked into a ''sticky'' situation bla bla.

    He's protective like that.

So, I looked over my shoulder, didn't spot any Internet Land zombies/nutters with big ones (or even small ones) and went to SE3 to visit my very good friend, who's having all sorts of probs at the moment.....got to read a whole paper on the train too.

So I am 'banned' from internet meet ups now unless I have 'protection' ;)

Sorry again fc123. TBH, under normal circs I'd have ignored the whole thing and gone along with the aim of talking my way out of things if poss and running away if not in the unlikely event of anything happening (I'm pretty quick with the proper motivation).

It's just that I could do without any more problems in my life right now - given my current luck I'd end up having to stay here while waiting for a court case or not get my visa because I'd hit someone whilst defending myself or something.

I'll get in touch next time I'm in London and buy you and OH a nice bit of dinner or something to make it up.
  • at least you made the effort, fc.

I'd have liked to meet up with you and gen.

your OH needs to chill : wasn't as if you'd got mse labelled all over.

not a wasted day, either. you got to see your friend.

like I say: future social meets should be pm'd.

could be fun, so long as pastures can leave the chips to one side and buy a round....
