Ahh that's a shame. An internet friend that I met on an Aussie forum, flew over and stayed with me so we could go to a show together. We did have a mutual friend that we both knew personally, so it wasn't total strangers I suppose. I gained a good friend too.

I can't believe that someone would be stupid enough to think that the 'anonymity' offered by the internet would allow them to get away with it - the police will simply ask MSE for the IP, then obtain the identity of the customer connected to that IP from the associated ISP and send someone around for a chat. Even a caution will result in an entry on their criminal record. If they did it from work, even more stupid.

It's an easy number on the stats for them so I'd say they'd be more inclined to pursue the complaint than not.

That weirdo Bruno threatened to attend the HPC get-together with an AK47 assault rifle. The police turned up at his place and gave him a caution. I really do think you should pass 'IWishIHadaBig1's PM onto the abuse team - it'd be a favour to the rest of us - good natured banter is fun, threats of physical violence is not.

DIdnt you say something Similar about Zammo ?? Its a fairly easy allegation to make, but not really a nice thing to call someone without good cause to be fair..

I did say something similar about Zammo. He posted heavily on a deleted thread where he quoted discredited US Government research that black people have lower IQs than white people and also (IIRC) said that non-whites should be thrown out of the country.

I don't remember the circs regarding the spat with IveGotaBig1 so it is possible that I misunderstood a post or something. Usually that's not an accusation I'd wield lightly as it's one of those things that's easy to say and hard to disprove. That the person took offence at being described as racist makes me suspect I'm wrong. Sorry IveGotaBig1.

Anyway, I got my visa this afternoon so I should be leaving on Thursday week.

Mrs Generali qualifies for the FTB assistance of $21,000. As we're going to be at the Generali-in-laws for a while, the savings should get a pretty handy boost too (they've been completely depleted by not working and before that by taking a very reduced wage in the hope of making a load of money on shares in the company I was working for).

We'll hopefully buy a place in a year or so depending on the money I'm making really. We'll only buy once we can afford to be in the suburb we'll be happy with until the kids finish school.

My posts will tail off as a matter of course once I get there as I'll be posting mostly when you guys are asleep (apart from NDG who as far as I can tell sleeps between the hours of 1.45am and 5.45am) so I'll not be able to get into conversation.
