  • Right update on the flying front while DS2 sleeps and DS1 plays with the tool bench again.

I have managed to hoover all of downstairs, including pulling out the furniture, which involved a rather complicated manouvere as DS2 was in the baby walker and wouldn't stay in one place, and DS1 is not keen on the hoover so wanted to be well out the way. I also spot cleaned some grubby marks with a baby wipe - no chance of mopping, but some lovely dried up yoghurt from the party i assume, and some unidentifiable marks gone.

Wm now on with the next load, and i am over the moon because AF has finally arrived. It has been so long it was a bit of a shock, but at least it is evidence that number 3 isn't on the way. :rotfl: I can relax again now, and that explains my tetchiness with the kids so far this morning so i will try to be nicer now.

vivw don't feel 'old' because you can't keep up with the flying while at work. I'm only 29 and struggle when i'm at work teaching, and sexymouse is even younger and doesn't describe it as a walk in the park either. It is the nature of our jobs. ;)

I think i need to start planning a list for the weekend. I know it involves loads of loft juggling as DS2 is a fat biffa who is struggling to get into 6-9 month clothes. and a visit from DH's 80yo great aunty and her partner. So that will be most of Saturday gone and i need to feel it is productive. It's high time sam went into the nursery too. I know i keep saying it, but his sleeping has got so much better recently and i want to keep it going and feel like a person again, and have a bit more physical space. There is not much room in our room with the travel cot up.

Anyway, going to try and do a bit more while the boys don't need me, and then it will be lunch time here - leftover stew, and then french bread pizza for me and DH tonight. Yum.

Have managed to get a few things done in the last HHC. But the real problem seems to be that the clutter seems to have been reproducing itself and now I don't know what to do with it all. Why does it all look so useful but never gets used?
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

  • Afternoon all, exam was ok. Doc had offered me a sick line for it but i said no.
Feeling ok at the moment, just a little tired, probably from lack of food!

Hope you managed to get through the exam OK - good luck although am sure that you did brilliant!:j

Thought the doc would have taken samples though - it's been over a week, is that not long enough then? Don't want to frighten you, but DS had salmonella and was in a terrible state by the end of it, they sent us home from the hospital 4 times until they finally decided that they eyes rolling back in his head and his yellow, sweaty palour was not normal - might have been something to do with the fact hubby was a tad mad at the time too before they finally tested him and then had him in isolation for a week...

Keep nagging if nothing improves G&B, if it's just a bug it should have settled by now, not got worse... I would def get the doc to do tests just to put your mind at rest if nothing else.

  • Morning guys and dolls,

Hope everyone is well and welcome to any newbies/retunrers. So far today I've done the laundry. My aims for today are to do volunteer work, do laundry, go shopping, collect wheelie bins, empty bins, wash up and tidy up

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah I'm stranded! Back is hurting too much to do anything at the moment, even sitting it starts aching and I can't bend over to hang the washing up or do the dishwasher :( Even hurts to pick small girl up. Luckily though Mr G is at home as he's working 6-10 tonight so he's helping out. So much for my plan to sort the bedroom out once and for all!

Also whilst I'm here anyone else feed bad about re-using things you don't use into something else. I have far too many duvet covers so I was thinking of making a patchwork quilt or two for the children to use, but I just can't bring myself to cut them up as they are perfectly good covers! Although if I went to a charity shop and bought a cover to chop up I wouldn't mind. So I'm thinking about getting some quilting foamy stuff (can't remember the name) and not actually chopping but just sewing a couple of them into quilts. Wonder if that would be easier :rotfl:
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

I also washed the dishes emptied the TD, put another load in, and put fish fingers in the oven for sandwiches, another cuppa now, quick sarnie at 11.45, then maybe another HHC at 12ish, anybody in
