Prynhawn da, everyone! I didn't quite make it in the morning, but never mind.
All pets fed, washing done, tumble dryer done, dishwasher emptied, bathroom and shower room swished and swiped, beds made.
Also quick trip to town for more zinc and echinacea at Holland & Barretts - profitable, as manageress was chatty and backed up my decision to get a CFS/ME/Fybromyalgia Support Group going - I'd just be the Facilitiator, but there's definitely a need here in Cwmbran! Also bought DD's Christmas present in Lidl's - she wants a guitar, and they had them from this morning, £10 cheaper than advertised - bargain!
DS and I are going to have some lunch then tackle the den! Feeling marginally better so need to make the most of it while I'm at home, even if I am off sick!
Froddington - thank you for the good wishes for my interview, It's with our local Community Housing Association as a Senior Service Advisor. I applied for two posts, this being the more senior, but didn't think I would get anywhere. They must have liked something in my application though if they've asked me for interview. It would be so good to be office based instead of out on the road every day, and it's only about two miles from home, which would be lovely. Mustn't count my chickens though, I'll only be disappointed. BTW - how's your dad?
Hugs to anyone suffering from this stupid, rotten cold _pale_. I keep going really wuzzy headed with it, but I'm certain it isn't flu.
Dr Hilary said the test for flu is "If someone points out a £10 note to you and you don't try to pick it up - you've got flu!":rotfl:
It's looking quite "bleak" from our lounge windows out to the hills, so I wouldn't be surprised if we have some snow today. DH is out on the road overnight and has seen plenty about. My sister is coming down from Derby for a couple of days tomorrow morning, so hope it's OK for her travelling. We're having a party at my brother's tomorrow evening, with my SIL and me sharing the catering. It's really an excuse for us grown ups to get together over family history again as my brother's just been "oop North" and retrieved a case full of photos including my grandmother with her whole family when she was about 10 years old! It's brilliant.DMP mutual support thread No: 433 - Mortgage - £54,556, Credit cards - £4012, Unsecured loan - £3,376, Other - £419

pigpen you around? Just a quick OT question about flannelette sheets for lining curtains. Do they keep the heat in well?
Anything that provide an extra layer between you and the outside will make a difference.. like wearing another tshirt would .. The sheets are better than nothing.. I made linings for mine with proper lining fabric but we have on occasion hung a sheets over the curtain rail behind the curtains and it made a noticable differenceLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

I have done the bedroom, S&S's the bathroom (well, cleaned the sink, bath & toilet but no windows/skirtings, etc), done the downstairs WC while I was at it and got washed and dressed (thought it was about time...) DS has gone out to get terrapin food and should be back to finish his bedroom soon, so apart from the spare room/study, upstairs is pretty much done - just going to put a wash on, tidy the living room and then have something to eat I think...LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0
