pigpen I'm glad it's not just me that loses things in strange places..lol. I had been searching for my teacosy the past month, gave it up as a bad loss and was going to buy a new one, when hubby found it behind the back of the cooker..hmm. Not a place I would have thought looking in..lol

*Hugs* to everyone that wants/needs them..

Feeling a bit sorry for myself at the moment as unfortunately Tuesday evening I went down with full blown flu - wham it just appeared out of nowhere. I immediately knew it wasn't a cold as I started aching all over and sweating for England. I have also got a revolting cough that doesn't want to go away.

Wouldn't be so bad but my mate Nicky has also got this too, she came down with it on Monday evening after our day out and had to be sent home from work, and is having great delight in telling me that I can't have flu cos she doesn't have the sweats just the chills so mine isn't the same..errr what is that all about. I think I know the difference between flu and a cold, I've had it twice before and believe me this is not a cold!! Oh well if she wants to believe it then let her believe it. I daren't tell her that my fibro is playing up with it too as she will probably say that it is in my head..lol.

So I spent all day yesterday in the land of nod, inbetween sweat bouts and popping my cold and flu tablets. Then last night I woke up in the middle of the night shivering for England so I went from the sweats to the chills in 24 hours. I ended up going downstairs and sleeping on the sofa with the radiator on in the lounge on full pelt, and wrapped up in a dressing gown and a fleecy with my little cat snuggled up with me.

Today I am feeling a bit more with it, but not much as the cough is really making my head and chest hurt..grr!!

The house is like a tip, and poor Dave had to cook his own dinner last night as I couldn't even lift anything let alone stand there cooking. Thankfully today I have put some chicken and a casserole mix in the slow cooker so he will have a decent meal when he gets home. I'm not sure what I will have as last night all I had was two slices of toast and marmite for lunch and two marmite sandwiches and a banana for dinner. So far today I've had a homemade cookie and copious amounts of lemon barley squash.

I am going to brave the village this afternoon as I need to pick up some more flu medicine and Dave's medicine from the chemist plus some soup. Was going to drive to Asda but I don't trust myself I think the slow walk up the village will be enough for me..lol

So now I need to have a warm bath and put some clothes on as I feel and smell ughy!!!

Thank gods for laptops is all I can say, all snuggled in bed and the lappy on my lap...aaaah how did we ever manage before them.. :-)

Poor Natty. Big hugs to you and hope you feel much better soon. I've just got a nasty cold, not flu, so I know how rough you must be feeling. Take care. x

phew finally caught up with all of the posts.. have done nothing yet today as I met a friend for coffee and I can't do anything now as DH has gone for a lie down (he did all the ironing first tho') so at least I have ironed clothes for school next week, which is good

FIL just rang and I've been next door and put the heating on (they have been away for a few days)

Need to go to the post office to post a parcel to DD but it's cold!!! Think th PO is shut til 2 tho' so will go after that

I am trying not to use TD if I can avoid it so got clothes drying on the airer, it means I will have to was every couple of days instead of saving it up for the weekend!! The problem is if I leave wet washing in the machine it gets very smelly very quickly so when i am working I have to load the machine and put it on when I get in so I can get it out of the machine and onto the airer asap!!

I have lots of school stuff I could do but I am so tired!!! Might have a nap zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
