Hi Guys
Hardly been in all day so not had chance to post, just caught up with you all.
Happy Birthday toochooseyand hugs to everyone else.
I went to pick A & W up from Nan's at 10.30, we didn't get away from there until gone 2pm  as she decided we were stopping for lunch. Had been thinking of taking A & W (well A really, not sure it would be W's thing) to see HSM3 being orange Wednesday but that went by the by. Went to get pizza's and a few other bits from Morrisons for tea for my friend who was due tonight. She had to cancel due to probs with the M1 being shut which caused gridlock to the whole area. So instead I have sorted my holiday requests for next year (they have to be submitted for the whole year), watched the Restaurant final. W loved seeing the Orient Express train and then catching up with you lot!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
aww my face H-U-R-T-S
Mind you it's nothing really.
Just been watching on the news the lady who wants 'clarification on the law' if her husband travels with her to commit suicide (she has MS). I really do have every sympathy BUT (and it is a HUGE BUT (Much like mine:rotfl:) I really do believe that the function of the law should be to protect those in our society who are vulnerable...so aiding suicide is not doing that - you would have to be utterly certain that the person did not want to live and had felt like that for some time...I do believe that if assisted suicide were allowed some people would use that...suppose they had relative with Alzheimers for instance? How could you assist thatperson to commit suicide and be certain it was their choice? (and I feel that Alzeimers is a 'living death' as those who suffer lose all grip on reality...)
maybe wrong thread...but we all care for homes and families on here. I would be interested to hear your comments. I am not talking 'living wills' BTW
incidentally when I was a teenager I wanted to carry a kidney donor card but my mum, a nurse, would not sanction it...but that's a whole different debate.
Poor SpottyPoppyPuppy - be she feels 'ruff' :rotfl: (sorry I could not resist that pun!)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
