Oh, my fab bit of news is that my lovely friend gave me her 6.5l, only used once, slow cooker. :money: Woo Hoo! She put it in the oven (don't ask) and melted the knob on the lid. So, re-placement knob ordered online for the grand total of £2.78. I'm so excited I can't wait to use it!

Ok, s'pose I'd better pay some attention to the children now.

Good luck with your DD - know the feeling, but looks like you're on it! way to go...

I did that with mine - put the dish in the oven with the lid on to cook something or warm something up or some such nonsence - knew it was a glass lid and crockpot so would withstand the heat - forgot the knobby bit!!! :rotfl: so now I have a melted knob! (oooh errrr missis... again, put in your own punchline...:rotfl: ) but it is still on OK and works so I left it to remind me not to be so stupid again... :D

Toochoosy There are 5 of us who go to ww together, we were in the car driving there with tummies rumbling hoping mondays starvation will show results!! We all lost 2lbs bar my sis who shocked the leader with her 7lb wt loss, we were all stood in the line to be weighed with butterflies in our tums (and not much else!) does anyone else get like that?

My friend did WW a few years ago and lost loads. The group leader wanted her to give a talk about her WW journey. As she arrived the night of the talk she said to the woman who was ticking the register 'I've been sh***ing myself all day' 'That's great you'll weigh even less then' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Not quite the sh***ing she meant!

  • Gryfon SO sorry you're feeling so rubbish lovey.
It's horrible feeling like that. Remember that it's all babysteps. If you fall off the flylady waggon, you can climb back on, and start feeling more in control of your home.

The x-box is the devil's own work! :) step away from the computer games! Maybe have a brisk walk if its not raining?? I know that when I've felt like that, (even tho it's the last thing I've wanted to do) a good fast walk sometimes can give the cobwebs a blast out.

I don't believe in 'martial duties' !!! If you don't want to, then I can't imagine much that would be more grim that going just through the motions. Explain to your OH how you're feeling, and that you love him, but really don't feel like being intimate at the moment. That's got to be better than just pushing him away, and both of you feeling down about it.

As for anti-ds I know what you mean... I had a 6 month nightmare withdrawing for seroxat. But there are different types, maybe a chat with the gp??

Last word .... I stopped needing anti-d's when I got the dog, and have to walk every day. Sun, rain, sleet, hail etc!!!!! It really changed how I feel about my world.

Hope you feel better soon babe, and try not to beat yourself up. (((hugs)))

Well in the HHC with toochoosey, I managed to put 2 big loads of washing away and put a load on in the WM. Need to clear up the kitchen again as I was so tired after cooking dinner last night that I didn't bother to put everything in the dishwasher again. Must also get dressed.

I know it's OT but interesting you should say that about the pill galant - I've had no sex drive for ages (years) and I can't remember the last time that OH and I ... it was partly down to stress and tiredness when I was at uni, and OH and I went through a rough patch, but I have absolutely no interest, and even my mum feels sorry for OH (we're quite open with each other about these things). I've been on the pill for nearly 10 years now, and I've also developed a massive appetite in the week leading up to AF visiting which has led to me putting on weight, hence going to the gym now. Trouble is, if I come off the pill, I get really bad spots and terrible period pains. Sorry if TMI.

    Off to get dressed now.

Thanks galantvr4, juliejim and SarahShattered (hope I haven't missed anyone out!). Took our dog for a walk on Sunday in the pouring rain which was fun, she can be a bit funny with other dogs but it seems to be only when the other dogs are near me so I was brave and let her run and she saw some other dogs, bounded around them and ran back to me, ran back to them bounded around and ran back! I have a feeling I'm transferring my worries onto her as when we saw some other dogs she came back to me when I called (one of their dogs was on a lead for some reason) and sat quietly...I could have cried :o Anyway sorry went off on a tangent, what I wanted to say is that when I do go for a walk it's great...it's just getting the enthusiasm to get up and go for that walk iykwim.

It's like the marital duties, once I get going (sorry TMI!!!) it's fine...it's just the getting going! I seem to have no omph to do these things although once I start doing them I'm fine and enjoy them.

Anyway sorry if I've brought the tone of the board to depressing levels. Shall try and be more cheery! My small steps today involve clearing the dishes in the kitchen and sweeping the floor. Doing a couple of loads of washing so try and get through this pile I have. Then I'm going to make an effort to get all the clothes in bags and baskets sorted and taken upstairs. I want to go and use my conservatory but it's covered in bits of clothes at the moment. Later on I'm going to go through the stuff I've put into storage and organise it into age/sizes as DD2 is getting bigger and I'm sure I've packed stuff that will fit her now. Then that'll be another worry off my mine as I keep thinking about it!
Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!

    It's SNOWING here:j :j :j :j :j and it's starting to lie.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
