Soappie- my view on the poppies is that they should be worn all year. Why should people only remember the vets on one day of the year?toottifrootti wrote: »Raphael - Congratulations on the fantastic weight loss - well done - and your engagement - have you set a date for the wedding? Internet started having hissy fits so didn't get chance to post but in my HHC I
Emptied DW and refilled with what's there (not enough to start yet)
Binned 2 bags of rubbish ...couple of flings there
Emptied WM again into TD (short washes thankfully)
Emptied socks airer & wine rack (don't drink much wine but handy for hanging undies on to dry)
Sorted more space in another food cupboard (how much is in there!!!!!!)
Put another bag of packing away
Last 10 minutes spent doing spreadsheet of Xmas presents, I went to browse on Boots with there being another 1000 bonus points this weekend and thought 'I don't know what I have bought already' eeek so have done those, will upload them onto the NAS drive so can use them on any computer when looking at spending. I usually do lists on paper but as the kids get older they find them and they can't access the NAS drive (unless DS1 works out the password like he did on ebay...) Amazed at how much I have/have spent so far really. Didn't think I had that much. Only another 15 to buy for I think..... I also remembered about a little member of DPs family born this year I need to buy for, eeek, but she's a tiny tot and I like buying little stuff. Might have to see if we can arrange a trip down to see them before Xmas as I haven't met her yet, if I do I might even get chance to pop in to see pigpen as they live in 'ull too :rotfl: Trying to think how old the little boy is, I think he'll be 4 now....feeling rather guilty for not seeing them for ages, but then they do have cars etc and haven't been up here for years.
Oh and Boots is being slow, whoevers placing big orders (pigpen is it you again??????) please geroff so I can do mine! One day I might be more organised...........

I'm getting frustrated with freecycle... none of the stuff that I posted this morning has gone up yet, and I need it out of the house soon! Maybe I'll try my other local site...0 -

Hello and welcome to any newbies/returnersDustykitten wrote: »Having a dolly sing song in the kitchen whilst tea is cooking. She warms the cockles of your heart.
I thought you meant like a "Dolly's Tea Party"!:rotfl:
Valli - could also try calling your local Salvation Army and asking them to make sure it got to their nearest refuge (yes, they do have them - I was resident staff in one)
BTW - the big throw covers my Superking Sized bed, so it is huge!
Been to Cardiff with Big Sis to collect DD and had a lovely walk around the Bay area with coffee in the Norwegian Church. Feeling v tired with coughing though so decided fish and chips tonight and I'll do the roast tomorrow when I hope I'm a bit better.
Still done dailies and extra washing etc but dining room is filthy as DH has been sanding and filling, then he's artexed the ceiling. I may get some of the painting done this week as I can always wear a face mask and just do one bit of wall at a time. It will be lovely to get the dining room and lounge done before Christmas even if we can't afford to do the laminate flooring until next year (we've pulled up the carpet and have floor tiles, not very nice, but at least they can be washed cleaned).
We've just decided what's happening on Boxing Day. My sister has always come to our house for Christmas, with Mum until last year, so she'll do that as usual. Boxing Day is at my brother's this year and we are having a Mamma Mia party! Working on getting DH into lycra, but I don;t think it's gonna happen!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Brother's MIL is in A & E having had pain in groin when she got up this morning and it hasn't worn off. I'm just waiting for news now.
I think I'm going to reload the WM and TD then go for soak in bath. It's definitely a PJ evening with the knitting needles.

greenbee sometimes moderators are only online at certain times, not getting paid to do it I can't blame them. If they are universal fit I would love it. Let me know how much it'll cost to post etc. I'd love one in my bedroom as I hate being too warm on a night, I like the window open in minus temps
but boys need to be warm.
10% off in addition to current 1000 bonus points offer if you pay for Boots order through paypal over £75 TSAK75 ca ching, frustrating as it's taking ages for the website to load but saved just under £50 in money inc 3 for 2 and nappies discounts, plus 10% off code, £13 worth of points, order cost me £70.....basically almost 50% savingwoohooo! Oh 1.75% cashback from Greasypalm too, which I prefer to Ipoints. **scribbles on more pressies bought onto spreadsheet**
kaz, you might get a discount on insurance if its a certified storage, (there is a database of them on http://www.cassoa.co.uk/storageSite.aspx?sku=STOS117 ) I'd book it in and pay asap if they're getting full if you haven't got anywhere to keep it (every storage within 10 miles of us is full) throw overs for the seats are a godsend for me, I bought 3 and got Mam to chop one in half for the single side seats so they match, keeps them like new and it's easier to shake crumbs off what will be your bed at night. If your hubby is handy www.towsure.co.uk do tow bars and you can fit them yourself, if not shop around, we got ours done for £20 more than the cost of the towbar so wasn't worth DP getting his hands dirty and fighting with the multiplex wiring we have in our car.
Oh https://www.ukcampsite.co.uk is great for finding sites!
Why did I say I'd do toad in the hole for DPs tea when he won't be back until 9pm..........right best feed the brats and get them bathedOne day I might be more organised...........
