Hello lovelies :hello:
:Moan Alert:
I am so fed up. I've spent most of the day with my head down the toilet... and I'm not talking flying here ladies... I couldn't hold anything down, even water came straight back up. I'd gone beyond there being nothing left in my stomach and was in tears feeling so dreadful. In the end I had some Re-hydrate stuff and that stopped the spasms. I slept for 3 hours on the sofa with the children tip toeing round. And I'm still there now.
I've had some crackers now, and then some bovril, held that down for a couple of hours. But I can tell you unreservedly that I can so sick of being ill. I'm going to see my doc tomorrow, I can't stand anymore of this!
*Moan over*
Welcome to all the newbies. This is a lovely thread, with loads of support, but apparently loads of miserable/sick/down women at the moment. It's not usually this bad, we're normally much more upbeat. - honest -:rotfl:

Managed to get in the garden for an hour, collected some leaves, moved some logs - all soaking and need chopping, wonder when OH will get around to that. Also lifted a few dahlias - quite a task so hope for a dry week - I know it's not forcast but I can hope.
Pooh thanks for sharing re your sons it has made me feel a whole load better and I guess your boys are right, the most important thing is that they are decent young men. Maybe the exam/school system and boys just can't work in it's current state - I know there is a gap between girls and boys achievement.
All 4 men in my house in right angry/fighting moods - can't wait until Tuesday when it is just me and the mogs here. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
greenbee sometimes moderators are only online at certain times, not getting paid to do it I can't blame them. If they are universal fit I would love it. Let me know how much it'll cost to post etc. I'd love one in my bedroom as I hate being too warm on a night, I like the window open in minus temps
but boys need to be warm.
They seem to be back online - my stuff's gone up on one site but not on the other yet. Anyway, one item collected today, one lot of stuff being collected tomorrow 8.45am, and another lot when I get back from work. Hopefully I'll get more responses during the day.
PM me your address and I'll bung the TRV in the post (probably next weekend - same goes for Toots' stuff, and the cake tins for Rach if I don't get organised to meet up with her Tues or Wed - as I've got Friday off and am back at my parents, so will probably actually get to the post office).
SS - you poor thing. I won't hug you thanks...Try to stick to water, rehydration salts, maybe diluted fruit juice, crackers, dry toast, boiled white rice (fresh, not cold or reheated) until you've seen your GP, as they're least likely to cause you problems. Fizzy water or flat lemonade is sometimes easier to drink if you're not feeling good - and if you're throwing up your throat may be sore. Hope you get well soon

SS poor you - the evil T can make you upchuck so maybe it is that - how far through the ABs are you as you'll have lost today's lot. I found I needed 7 days to kill it off not 5. Hope you get some sleep tonight and I'd recommend flat lemonade, sips of.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Menolly and greenbee Thanks lovelies.
And no greenbee, I don't blame you for not hugging me, I wouldn't either! Thanks for those suggestions too. My throat is ragged, it hasn't healed from the tonsillitis!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know what's going on with me, it's been one grot after another for the last few months. I think I'm going to have to start an intensive course of building myself up again.
*blows loud raspberry at illness*
ETA : Thanks DK. I was 5 days in to a 7 day course. But obviously lost this morning's tab, and didn't take anymore today. I'll send DH out to get some lemonade, adding sugar flattens it doesn't it?MMSSB Club Founder Member

Poor you SarahS, i know how you feel and it is most unpleasant. When i was at the doctors she recommended porridge, rice or bananas if you want to eat anything. Little sips of water too, not too much at once. Hope you feel better soon, there is something pretty nasty going about! The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

SS & g&b hope you're feeling better soon, a mix of 1 litre water, 8 spoons of sugar and one of salt is what we were always told to give DS if we couldn't get dyralite stuff. Flat pop sometimes works the same because it's gt the same 'junk your body needs' in it. To get it flat shake it or stir it (being careful if shaking as it builds up pressure)
Dusty ((hugs)) same mood here, ahhhh Tuesday, I won't see any of them for 6 hours, blissful thoughts.....
Speaking of them, small ones now eating, oldest child on his way back from Manchester a bit earlier than expected, so might be having dinner at about 8.30pm instead. One day I might be more organised...........
