Blimey you are lucky we are not allowed anything extra than what is in the bin, if the lid is raised they are not obliged, and have not always emptied them here.

The only time side waste is allowed is one bag at Christmas.

It's a special collection arranged by the residents' association. It tends to be about once a year. Anything can go - old mattresses, timber, whatever - obviously not stuff that has to be disposed of separately like fridges but it is good.

    Morning(just).

Hope all the sickies are on the mend - Sarahshattered, Pink Fairy, all of Pigpens brood, Serena's DD.

Had fun at work last night, we were all in fancy dress, and i made a small child cry with my costume:o I wasnt given any kids all night in case i scared them:rotfl:

I feel really good this morning which is such a nice change, going to blitz the kitchen and probably bedroom while i feel so good.

First things first though i have to clean out the flanimals, one of my birds died during the night:( Her mate is now looking really sad. Hubby picked her out the cage and she looked really healthy:confused: She did however still have seed in her beak and it looked like she had been eating when she died so i dont know if she maybe choked?

HHC anyone?? 11.30-12pm then its time for egg sandwiches nomnomnom!

TAG I have the second home (caravan) to sort out today so will be joining you with my long list later
embb you're entitled to your moans, just like the rest of us. Hope you manage to get a snooze or an early night in and your cold gives you a break a bit
    SarahS ((have a hug)) aswell
soappie, that was the problem I had earlier this week, time to just relax (ok I still had the kids but relax more than normal) and couldn't decide what to do, really hard trying to wind down when you're used to being like a coiled spring, hope you manage to do something you enjoy
juliejim that's a great idea, usually done just before bonfire night at a guess? I remember something similar where I used to live, it was to try to reduce the amount of bonfires, especially those made by children, worked well. Old furniture, mattresses etc. The year they didn't I think it took them longer taking down a bonfire as tall as the houses.

Right, need to get DP up in a mo (we're speaking but have discussed nothing about the job offer as I have asked for it to be left until the boys are at school) then will make a start, I need to

Empty last few cupboards in caravan
Put fridge back together (took all shelves out)
Put toilet back in after rinsing
Take all cushions out.......and put them somewhere.....
    clean cupboard fronts
    Clean inside cupboards
    Clean floors

That's just the caravan list, got car to empty and clean too....and unpack
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning..

Decided to do a weekend blitz of our pigsty....

Rant alert (please dont feel u need to read i just need to vent.....)

Im ashamed that we have no clean dishes at all....(OH been insisisting HE will wash up so dont do it for 4 days and has now gone back to work on nights without touching them so now i dont have anything to eat off/with/drink from!!! )

Theres been no bedding on the bed for a couple of nights as I been so busy with sarah and keep forgetting to get round to doing it and when i have realised its been while sarahs been getting put into bed so dont wanna disturb her so Ive been sleepin under a blanket on a bare mattress which has done my allergies no good :o:o

I have a washpile the size of mount kilamanjaro because one again its all been left up to me and if i dont tackle it today OH will have to go to work naked because rest of his uniform is in there!!!! (Id let him go without but then it would be "oh isnt Jo awful not washing his uniform for him." )

So so sorry to rant im just at the end of my tether with OH. It feels like ive got 2 babies to look after :( I sat the other day when my mum took sarah for few hours and I just cried my eyes out at the state of the place unsure where to start....im so ashamed of it... ive NEVER lived in this much squalor - even when i was depressed and really ill and the place did get neglected it was never this bad! :(

Im doing EVERYTHING whilst also trying to entertain sarah who is teething badly so wants cuddling and comforting lots, im shattered as im the one getting up in the night when shes waking still, when OH gets up he just shouts and swears at her which just upsets her more so i end up getting up with her instead and even bringing her downstairs to settle her then sleeping on the floor next to the travel cot when she falls asleep in it. Plus im still breastfeeding except one pre-bedtime bottle so as im not getting chance to sleep or eat properly then feeding her most of the time i feel like a wet rag!!

    END RANT

So ive come to nick this weeks list and see how much i can get done.....

Awwww big hugs Johanne - I really feel for you. Why not just wash ONE plate, ONE set of cutlery and ONE cup for you to use and leave the rest for OH to deal with?

If you were closer, I'd come round and help you. Maybe we really do need to think about a flylady hit squad who just go in and help out those other flyladies having a difficult time with a smile, a clean duster and a box of chocolates for the suffering flylady..

    Morning all

Johanne, I'm sorry things are getting on top of you, it's so hard looking after little ones. Maybe just wash up enough for yourself as soappie says and make your bed and get two loads of washing done - his work stuff and a load for you and Sarah. Don't try to tackle everything or you will just give up. All the best.

Freezing cold wind here today and no sun. My washing (two loads) is blowing round like mad but it's so cold that I'm sure it's not going to dry.

Just pottering today, it is Saturday after all ;)

    Morning (just)

Whole house is cleaned from top to bottom and everything else in between, I wont bore you with what I have done, but it is perfect, well it will be that way for about 3 hours or so, but that makes up for the fact I do nothing all week, and it has taken me from 7am to 11.30am to do it.

    WM on
    TD on
First load of washing folded up and in airing cupboard

I am having me time, so here for about 10 mins whislt I eat a luxury bacon roll, as I never normally buy bacon.

I also have gathered up all the xmas presents I have stashed away, all on the lounge floor, along with wrapping paper, bows, coloured string stuff, labels, and going to get wrapping in a bit.

    Off to read

Hugs for those that needs that.

I took A & W trick or treating with their cousins and a couple of friends. We only called at the houses that had Halloween decorations/pumpkins on display. Everyone out seemed be doing the same, so those houses which did not want to have people knocking every 10 seconds were left alone. Amazing how many houses where pitch black though, I wonder how many people on those were sat in total darkness behind the settee! :rotfl:

  • johanne your OH is being really unfair babes. It shouldn't all be on your shoulders. Of course you feel like a dishrag if you're doing everything. If he said he was going to do the dishes them make him bl**dy well do em.

I think most men will behave like children if we allow them to. You're not his mum, and he's supposed to be your partner. When he gets in tell him he's got some washing up to do that he 'forgot' about!!!!

As for everything else, take baby steps. Identify what you are actually finding unbearable, and tackle those bits. The LO is your main priority, and you're clearly doing a super job with her, she's gorgeous and looks super healthy. Don't be ashamed of letting the house go a bit. It's your OH who should be ashamed of himself for not supporting you better, and shouting at the baby!!! No no no, he needs to stop that nonsense at once.

Have a cry if you need to, then get yourself washed and dressed (if you're not already) and have another look at the list, and see what would actually make a difference to how you'll feel if you do it or not. Then amend it as necessary.

Sorry honey, but it sounds as though you need to make a few changes in the division of labour in your house. Good luck babes, and (((hugs)))
