I had a lovely day, thank you all for being such great company.
Its nice to know we have another South Londoner 'Dippypud' on our doorstep.
We exchanged 'things', chatted and drank in the cold corner in the pub.
It wasn't till we actually moved (after a couple of hours) that I realised I was also FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went back to Lewisham to try to buy some of the thermal vests that 'PURPLECLUTTERBRUCK' got on a bargain buy (not because I'd got so cold today), but they had sold out.
Oh well...........................here's to the next meet up
A big thank you to Caterina for organising today as ever xxxx

sounds like you all had a great time ,sorry I couldn't be there but I was in spirit IYKWIM.I was driving back from my holiday in Tenbury Wells and the weather was very warm.I managed to find 6 Ken Follett books in charity shops that I hadn't read and some great material for my spare room curtains whilst on my holiday.Glad to be home and back in my own bed though ,and to see my grandsons as well.Hopefully I shall make the next one .I wonder why the cafe was shut in Blackheath I do hope they won't be closing it as its really nice and the food is very good as well.Still glad you all had a good afternoon.
    Cheers JackieO xx

Caterina, thank you so much for organising. I know how stressful it can be trying to organise people.
Vouchersrme, thanks for the recipe page - I am going to try one today.
It was lovely to meet new people and old friends too (purple, pls don't forget my pattern!)
Sorry I couldn't come on to Blackheath to meet everyone else - the linedance went very well, but it was a late night.
Could we think about a picnic in the summer, maybe in one of the London parks if the weather is predicted to be good?

Pot on when roots show at bottom, then harden off and outside after last frost date, 8" pot is ok bigger if you have it, only grows to 18" or so but make nice little bushy plants with purple and then multi coloured chilis, so I'm told, as I've never grown them before either, they were passed onto me from someone on mse and I promised to continue passing them on.

Thats a lovely idea mustn't forget that one.

Had a lovely time, and only just realised who dippypud is:o sorry.
I was so cold when I got home sat on the sofa wrapped in pj's and fleece, didn't work so had a bath, and that warmed me up:D

Sorry there are so many poorly ones at present, hope you all can make it next time.

    Hi all

Thanks for all your kind words, it has been great organising these outings but after yesterday I realise that I take on too much sometimes and feel responsible when people do not turn up, or worry a lot about making everything perfect. Therefore I have decided to stop organising and hope that someone else takes it up from here. I hope to enjoy attending many more events but won't be taking the lead, at least for the time being.

See you all around soon (hopefully!) in different places or even the same ones when someone else organises the next meet (but not the shady courtyard again, please! LOL).

    C x

A very late Thankyou from me to Caterina, for more than was apparent on the day...and to all of you met on a lovely London day, with much kindness and colour in Lewisham from all sorts of people.

It was good to meet you all and be a beneficiary of generous sharing. I felt I was being greedy.

twimc:-) - wool sold instantly at Charity on Tuesday morning, needles went 5 mins later and Lakeland piece has been bought by a craft person to use in completely a.n.other way than that intended...she is thrilled to have found it.

£17.50 in our coffers thanks to you!

Little purple pepper seedlings prospered in plastic bag aka mini sauna in car for 2 days until I rtn'd - now progessing nicely on kitchen windowsill.

I understand Caterina needing to slip links a little from the virtual chain. We know she is with us in spirit and also that her Life is one of enhancement for all who meet her and her family.

Bless you all - and thankyou all again for a good OS experience.

    Hi Ampersand,

Just a quick note to thank you for all your gifts and to let you know that Annie popped in here on Tuesday and I gave her all the raspberry canes and strawberries, as well as the lemon balm plant. I already have many raspberries in the allotment, so I think it is only fair that she has all of them. She promised to give me a few once they spread.

I still lurk occasionally but I am very happy to be almost computer-free these days especially with the glorious sunshine.
