I saw this posted somewhere else and thought if anyone was thinking of switching, this may help.
These shows can be a little different from what you expect sometimes, but hopefully this may help someone on here who is just watching this thread for information.
Tonight on VT Talk, Jon Hepworth will enter the studio as a smoker, and, during the course of the show, will, we hope, make the transition to vaper. He'll need your help - come along at 9pm GMT to http://www.vapourtrails.tv/?page_id=41 and see what happens - and if you're thinking of making the switch, this show is for you!Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
I think I just burnt a carto
...accidentally set my lavatube to 5.9 volts or 6 or whatever - with a low resitance carto

You shouldn't do, it's got the built in limiter.
Do you mean it's stopped working?Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

No the carto before did that..don't know what I did to it...fixed now.....Just had one puff (tend to find it takes a few puffs for the limiter to work) and like then realised...
it's okay at 3.2 - not so good at 3.4...so I think it's partially had it but will do for a few days...tend to change my cartos about twice a week in the tank anyways. Just what I'm used to.....
Have a good day

The limiter works immediately, it won't let you put a too high voltage through something. If it tastes burnt, I probably think you've let it run too dry.
I had some cartos burn out on the LT, not sure what was going on, but it before I used a tank and I think I wasn't filling them properly.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
My mum has an e-cigarette, but still people freak out when she uses it. Anyone else have the same experience?0

Hopefully this is in the right place...
'Just wanted to highlight Electronic Cigarettes as i've recently switched and am seriously impressed with them. As a committed, 20yr smoker i thought i was past saving but along came these things and, overnight, I've gone from smoking 20-30 fags a day to none'.
Hi Joe and everyone who is thinking about electronic cigs. All I can tell you is that am saving about 30 pounds a week, and the house is cleaner, and I feel much better. Please Try them, I use a company on the internet, Totally Wicked, who have lots of choices and deliver within about 2 days.
When I think about the poor souls sitting outside hospitals in the snow and such like, having their puff while attached to their drips, even terminally ill patients, why not advertise the fact that e cigs are legal?
Although e cigs contain nicotine, the vapour which is puffed out is a mix of water and glycerine,. There is no need to make hospital patiens suffer pneumonia on top of their illness, just through some kind of tyranny by government.
I feel even more strongly that smoking is banned in pubs, but not alcohol! ludicrous! Booze is more harm to the community, including -nhs- than nicotine. Also no one objects to nicotine patches and chewing gum, so why object to something that is on a par with these? ( And these replacements can sometimes be got on prescription.) JEM.0
