The only one I know about the the Realis, as that's the one I used when I was in my "it has to look like a fag" stage. It was .......ok, brilliant to start with, then very quickly didn't do what I needed and the batteries were a pain, didn't last long, the cartos needed filling all the time.....

Luckily I got over that one quickly and got onto the riva. I really struggled with deciding to get a riva or not, I didn't think I'd ever got used to something that big, LOL, now my lavatube is three times as big as a riva and I don't think twice about it.

I honestly can't tell you how much better off you will be getting a riva, both financially and ecig satisfaction. I didn't believe it and no one else seems to either :D

We all start out like that, Lotus - when I started cig-alikes were the only choice - looking back, it seems even more of a miracle than it did at the time that those little weaklings got me off 50+ fags a day :p

A great starter these days (though even smaller than a cig-alike but better performance) would be TWO of these and a bottle, or "pick 'n mix" selection, of juice (e-liquid for refilling cartos) [edit = and a "drip-tip" for a nice comfy mouthpiece]:

Go on fsdss, tell yourself what I did: "nothing to lose but money" - and it's currently going up in smoke ;)

Funnily enough it was me that suggested the SD keyring may be suitable for newbies on the aaec forum :D

fsdss, I've not used one, but it should give you a far better vape than any cig a like.

The SD Keyring gives more hit that any cig-alike I know of - but I haven't tried any of those for 3 years-ish.

Be aware that you will (probably) want to progress onto a different model once you've got the hand of things and/or worn out your first e-cig. Only if or when you buy a "big battery mod" will you be sticking with the same model and buying loose re-chargeable batteries. There's plenty of time for that.

I cannot stress enough that the main thing is to get started - preferably with a competent model, and the SDK is that. A Riva would be just as good or better still, but you want something small - the SDK is easy to hide ;) When you start out, play it cool and don't worry about how many cigs you are still smoking - we're all different - count the ones you DON'T smoke, not the ones you do.

Getting started is vital to demystifying the whole thing :)

    (1) (As we say at AllAbout ;) ) The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked!

    (2) What are you going to puff on when one is charging up? :p

I want by a e-cigarette (89mm size) What is the best producer and online shop for that? I read a lot forums but I can't find the best option (price, quality and support).

It all depends exactly what your looking for. Since the last post I've 'totally' changed the way I vape.

After some time I found the carrying and charging of a PCC and components to be a little too much. It's easy to lose bits and the case does lose it's charging capacity as time goes on. I decided I needed a better model which fitted more with the way I use it and be more appropriate/cheaper all round for me.

I now vape on the Megalodon, but always use it in Minidon mode with 800mah batterys. Batterys last a day easy and I always have two with me. Replacements cost £5 a pair and last around 6months to a year per set.

I buy highly concentrated nicotine and then mix it down with aquaeous glycerine so that instead of 50mg/ml it becomes around 15-18mg/ml with flavoring, of which I have allsorts. Banana, strawberry and cotton candy is a good mix at mo :) I now get all my atomizers staright from the health cabin. Cheaper than chips and the low resistance boge give some proper bang for your buck.

I got my megalodon from mojurepublic. Juice i think came from Liberty flights.

Its good to do some research. If you look over at E-cig reviews.com you'll find enough there to get the juices flowing, and who knows where you'll end up. To be honest, if they had the Empire Mod in stock when I was looking I would have taken that route. But I have no complaints with my Megalodon. Does the job and more... it just isn't as colourful :)

It's all about what you want.

The first year I'd average the cost to me at £10-£15/per month. The don afterall is £65 in itself. Thats a one time buy. After that it's just batterys, attys and juice. Say £5-£10 a month. Bargain. I've been off ciggerettes for two years. My health thanks me very much :j

Brilliant choice Green :) Check out the Boge cartomisers that Vape Escape sells, they fit the Riva, are as cheap as chips, & hold more juice than cartridges that come with Riva kit :)

Look at health cabin for the cheapest cartomizers ect... they come str8 from china and take around 20 days to arrive if you go for the cheaper air mail option. If your ordering enough to make it worthwhile.. say extra for a friend or just enough stock to see your through the entire year. Your looking at about half of the price your paying there for the exact same thing. The only difference between them... Health cabin are even cheaper still, for the exact same thing.

I've ordered from them twice. Gr8 service.. no problems. Just a little wait.

    Cut out the middle men.

Whilst I don't disagree that this is a decent choice for the right person. Peoples vaping choices change hugely through their 1st year.... and after that as well. You might find yourself sitting on a huge pile of something you don't want.
