ICESAVE LATEST - FSCS Claim online

This is good news.....and interest up to the 8th of October is ok.....But still i will of lost 2 months interest come the end of November. A bit annoyed, but not as annoyed as i would of been if i had nothing back. You live and learn. Great thanks must go to the government and the FSCS for sorting this out so fast....as i did think it would go on well into next year. :j

I got 29K trapped in Icesave

I just realised today that my email on Icesave was an old one (moved broadband from onetel to O2 about two months ago), so I updated it this morning.

If the FSCS are firing off the refund emails I hope I changed it in time...

I didn't think anyone had yet. The FSCS announcement says they'll start to contact us ten days from last Friday, which means next week.

Sorry if it's been mentioned before but an FSCS representative was interviewed on Moneybox on Saturday. The programme is still available at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/moneybox/

It did sound as if they'd not yet decided how things will work with regard to ISAs.

My linked account is still in my icesave account, but the direct debit has been cancelled within my current account. I read somewhere that icesave had cancelled them, I certainly havn't. My question is how will payments go to linked accounts if the direct debit has been cancelled? thanks

Aside from Paul's minor faux pas - anyone want a sweepstake on when the "I haven't had my email from FSCS, they are really letting us down" posts start ?

Payments out are through the normal BACS and don't require a direct debit. The DD was simply for getting money into Icesave.
