My power is very high as well. I used eyeexperts.co.uk. They are the only company that supply glasses with high prescriptions.0

I've just bought a pair of D&G glasses from
http://youronlineoptician.com
Was trying to find a specific pair I'd seen ages ago in a shop so e-mailed customer services and they were very quick to get back to me and helpful.
Used the EMAILOFFER promotion code and got 10% off too which was a bonus and the website was selling the frames at 23% cheaper than in the shops.
Just need to wait for them to arrive.....excited!!! Will let you know when they do!!

I think I will pay high street price for lenses in future.
Bought a lovely pair of Lindberg frames, had them sent to Specsonthenet for "bargain" glazing and not at all sure I'll see them again.0 -

They are coming from Pakistan, I ordered two pairs and each one took about 2 - 3 weeks.
I hope it goes OK with them, I had problems with the quality of the specs they sent me, but they did replace them free of charge.0 -

TBH the price i paid less E Coupons came out really cheap approx 9 pound so i guess you only get what you pay for.
cant be any worse than the ones i got from tesco!. I got 2 pairs 1, reactions and the other clear, I couldnt even see through the reactions and i can just about wear the clear ones without headache.
Ive switched back to my old prescription from specsavers and feel much better. If You See Someone Without A Smile......Give Them One Of Yours0 -
Yayyy they arrived this morning and believe it or not they are WOW really cool.
They arrived in a little handsewn bag sealed with candle wax !!
My address was handwritten too
inside was a poly box and inside that was a glasses case with my goodies in
I have altered the nose bridge and the arms to fit snug and they are crystal clear and gorgeous.

Just bought a pair of Bolle Pigalles from glassdirect.co.uk paid £115 including all extras and second tier thin lenses with 37% discount (weekly special), 10% discount code (glss), 14% quidco.
Pretty good deal.
@mssampson
Go to D&A website and download a free eye test voucher. Although glassdirect.co.uk can take your prescription if you send in your current pair of glasses, their prices start at £15 incl lenses (only 4 ugly pairs though), 14% quidco and free postage with 2 or more pairs bought.Buy for value not cost.

Up until now I have had reading glasses only, but have got to the stage where I need varifocals. I have bought my last four pairs of reading glasses online from Glasses Direct and have been very happy with them, but after reading the advice on this site do not feel comfortable about ordering varifocals from them, especially my first pair. I am also going to try varifocal contact lenses. Have been to D & A and had an eye test (free!). They have said it will be cost me 27.50 for a contact lens assessment and then about 25.00 per month for 15 pairs of dailys and If I sign up to their monthly direct debit scheme for one year I will get 50% off a pair of varifocal glasses. I looked in the store and priced up a pair for 300.00 so I would get these for 150.00. I have calculated that for the year it will cost me 477.50. This seems very expensive to me. Just wanted to know if there is much difference in the cost between opticians or all they all much the same? Many thanks0
