If you look back at your Icesave account now is that transaction not listed as "Correction item" and therefore cancelled? Thats what happened to me.

Yes it is. I feel stupid for not looking first! Thanks.
  • Hi Icesaver
'I'd be quite happy for my remaining fixed term accounts to run to maturity if they were taken over by a UK bank or BS'. Me too. Perhaps it will be Newcastle Building Society - as they manage the website. I don't want to leave my money in anything even bearing the name 'Icesave', or even the name 'FSCS'.
  • or even the name 'FSCS'.

Surely that's the first thing to look for, ie. fully protected up to £50000 under the FSCS guarantee?
  • Certainly will want to put my money in an account fully covered by FSCS. If I can be quite certain that I can have this cover while waiting until my bonds mature I will be content. But for peace of mind I want to make a transaction of some kind and have a record thereof.
  • Hi, my last interest payment didnt make it to my nominated bank account before the closure of icesave, will be able to get this money back? If i can how do i go about it?

Quite a few of us are in that situation, the answer is that no one knows ATM what will happen. :)

I have just noticed my Icesave Fixed Deposit Maturity has been changed from 22-May-2010 to 10-Oct-2008. Has anybody else had their changed.

Oh yes so they have how interesting makes you think something might be happening. Am I to assume I will not get the interest due at maturity on my fixed rate bond?

Also noticed today that the DD has disappeared from my bank account list of DD even though I did not cancel it.

Checked on IceSave my nominated account is still there so assume I will be able to "push the button" at the appropriate time.

Other half may stop harking on about safe savings when I get the money back!!!!

Yup, mine too has been changed to 10/10/2008. I guess we will be receiving our funds back sooner than expected then!
