A&L are not part of ING they were bought to Santander so are now part of the Santander/Abbey/A&L/Bradford and Bingley group.

If you are keen to open a fixed rate account you could try going on line to open one . In practice they will take a few days to get you the information to sign. If bythen your KE funds have returned or you have some other funds then you can invest them, if your funds are still lost in transit, then you will only have wasted the time involved in making your application. I suspect that most of the more attrctive fixed rate deals will close by Monday so you would need to act very quickly

:j Just to let everyone know our money has arrived in our linked account.

The amount was £20.00 less than it should have been due to the CHAPS charge being deducted again. KE have assured us that this will be refunded to our KE account in the next few days.

Thanks again to everyone for your support and encouragement over the past couple of weeks. It really has been a great help.:j
