He seems to be the only bod at ING who is actually reading and responding to emails no one knows whether he is actually pushing individual cases forward, but you have nothing to lose from giving it a go. I emailed him yesterday and subsequently got an email saying that i would receive my money today (not ffrom him though) . So far mine has not turned up, but obviously things are startingto move, so maybe it will shortly. In any case it's great news that some more people are now at long last seeing their money.0 -

Yes - email him. He's one of the senior execs. You may be lucky and get a rational response as one or two have done, or you may get one of the brush-off emails. But what have you got to lose?

And another thing: don't ever think ING have no involvement. Their own web site says:As you may be aware the UK Treasury has taken action to protect your savings, transferring all individuals' UK savings balances from Kaupthing Edge to ING Direct. All your savings are safe and are now with ING Direct, the world's leading direct savings bank and part of the ING Group, which is one of the world's largest financial institutions with assets in excess of £1 trillion, and 85 million customers.CHAPS out 8 Oct KE - received 20 Oct A+L

Besides wantageboy - your circumstances are so unbelievable that it really needs someone individual there to look into it.
If you telephone AH make sure you give the details about the transfers in and out times two in your answerphone message - then maybe he'll realise that it's a complex one. Good luck!KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0 -
My CHAPS request was made 10/10/08, and have spoken to ING for 3rd time today, and 3rd time have been assured my money will be transferred "Today". This delay means i am likely to miss out on re-investing the funds in a high interest fixed term account, as suggested by Martin.
Am i right that Alliance and Leicester are part of ING? If they are, i intend to close my account because they are awful.
What does anybody else think??Cleverly disguised as a responsible grown up.0 -

Alliance & Leicester are owned by Santander, but I think are registered separately.0 -

Yippee the money's in at last. Now where do I put it? Have opened a Tesco Internet Saver which gives 2000 points (£80 deals) if you have £50,000 in by an imminent date but unlike most online accounts, they sent a load of paperwork to sign so I don't know how quick I'll be able to use the account.0
