New Kaupthing CHAPS/BACS Transfers discussion - Friday 24th October

My wife is sick of phoning KE/ING and getting told the same old stuff and was nearly in tears on the phone to them yesterday when she was yet again told that the payment would be made tomorrow at the latest.

We are under no hardship due to the lack of money but we have wasted untold time and nerves thanks to this sorry episode.

Also, please stop feeding the troll on this thread.

As I will be at work during the day it will be difficult for me to keep a close eye on who is new and needs adding or who is getting paid – I will try my best. However it would be best if people can, please PERSONAL MESSAGE me if you need adding or removing – do NOT edit the list yourself.

Now, for some bizarre reason, the 2nd of my BACs requests has been RETURNED to my KE account (the first one is still missing!). Am afraid that I now need to set up yet another new transfer and wait for another few days to find out it didn't go through and I start the chase again. - any advice from anyone?

Your money will come through. I had interest credited just before my money appeared in my linked account. And we're here for you!

Okay, My call to KE lasted 58 seconds.

I was told to read the latest website update :mad: and that they were guaranteeing all payments would be in linked accounts by the end of business today. They couldn't do anything else. They wanted me off the phone fast.

Hey that'll be useful - your 'small' one must be with my 5 figure one same day (initiated too late on 28th). I'll be posting as soon as, too.
Have you rung & queried why it's taking 5 working days to see what explanation you get?
Just for info: I did a bacs from Northern Rock on the morning of 29th ... received morning of 31st = 2&bit business days.

the papa - same here but certainly not relaxed -expecting to be last as i cant see them getting the money back until all backlog of chaps bacs sorted.

Am sure there will be good news for some today!
