i assume u have good feedback melacholly
  • Sorry for the confusion, this was of course the first alert to the fact that something was wrong, and yes he did check his paypal account, and there was no payment, but who knows what an inexperienced person would do, I'm just glad that they made the spelling mistake and that my son is not dyslexic, otherwise he may not have spotted it, he is a trusting soul and possibly would have sent the phone on the strength of the email, it certainly looked plausable. :xmassign:

well i do think a newbie might think the email nof/ is enuff prove that the payment has been made,. as paypal do go on about how secure they are,..but i never check the email i always check my paypal account,.. but after being ripped off from a seller (the ipod story its posts somewhere) i now use nochex,.

Make sure you write down the phone's IMEI number before despatching it. This prevents a buyer claiming its faulty and sending you back their own broken identical model phone. Even better if you can take a picture of the IMEI number with your username in the picture.
Good advice there. I did this when selling my mobile after being conned with a supposedly faulty computer game (the game they returned was definitely not the one I sent them).

I will be wary of this, read somewhere of this scam happening on ebay. Make sure that the cheque has cleared or insist on payment by paypal only

Great piece of misinformation. Paypal is less secure if anything as anyone can start a chargeback, stolen credit card or not
