Yeah - they take an admin charge, numerous posters have reported about being out of pocket after jackpots.

I only got ONE click thru today.

I am getting rather fed up of this site and will finish with it once I redeem my existing points.

Q:The average annual saving for consumers who switch gas:

A: not sure... In the uswitch website it says you save on average £140 for both fuels and can reduce their annual gas bill by £75. There is a choice of £140 in the list, but not £75. Maybe then they mean how much can you save if you switch both? Or am I missing something?...

Says here "Visitors to uSwitch.com can save up to £170 on their annual gas and electricity bills."?. Just wonder what is the correct answer?.

    Hi all and Happy 2006.

I've answered the below questions to the best of my ability. I'm waiting for replies to some and will respond to them as soon as I get an update. But hopefully most are covered here :)

Huge thanks to Binxy for compiling all these answers and to everyone who has helped :) :grouphug: :T

Yes we make mistakes (me more than anyone - just check the spelling/grammar below!) but we are trying to give you a good experience and I hope this post helps and that you'll continue to give us the valuable feedback. That's what we're here for!

It's been quite hard to format this but what I've done is preface questions with ----> and my responses with -*-*-> Afraid I can't do much better but if anyone can tell me how to please do! I've had to divide it into five...

MOST IMPORTANTLY I've tried not to answer any questions on member's individual accounts here. Sorry but all quereis should be redirected to postmaster. If there is a reply that is applicable to everyone I've posted it (not trying to hide anything) but please understand that it could take ages to sort some queries.

With all queries regarding your account please do the following:

    1. Send the query to postmaster@pigsback.com

    2. Use the words MSE FORUMS in your subject line (preferential treatment or what??) If you can include your MSE forum name.

    3. Include your registered Pigsback.com email address AND an alternative email we can cc the reply on to make sure it gets there (applies particularly to Hotmail and Yahoo). (this alternative email address will ONLY be used to contact you and not for any other purpose. It won't be ssociated with your account or anything).

    4. If necessary and you aren't getting any replies, please include a contact number and we'll phone you!

    5. Remember any details you can provide, including receipts and registration emails, help us get to it quicker...

So on to your points ( not PiggyPoints - calm down! ;) ) ...

(TAKEN IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER OR PREFERENCE)

----> Why does it take so long to post Boots vouchers?

----> Can you clarify the postal system for sending vouchers?

-*-*-> The answer to this is complicated and comes down to our process, which needs to be improved. This is one of the things I'll be tackling this year.

    The process for this is:

    1. You order the reward.
    2. We receive your order and 24-36 hours later the reward is processed and we're notified one should be sent to you within 3 working days.
    3. We print out your order and fulfil it and add it to the post.
    4. The post leaves our office to be franked and then collected by the postman.
    5. Royal mail collect it and deliver it to you!

Now unfortunately what happens with popular reward vouchers like Boots is that we order them and click, they're gone, so sometimes it's a matter of waiting

for the supplier to send us stock. We're working on a system to let you know when this applies.

    Leading me on to...

----> Is there any chance of posting using next day delivery/record delivery at a small additional cost so we can get the vouchers quicker and also so there is a simple way to keep track of them?

-*-*-> Yes, that's one of the things I'm looking at. It will mean adding about 100 PiggyPoints to the cost of each vouvher but at least as you say there is a record of them.

    ____________________________________________________

----> Why does Pigsback often state they have sent the vouchers on certain dates and then when they arrive the postmark states 3-4 days different?

-*-*-> Ah see this comes down to point 3 and 4. It's the difference between when the order is processed (voucher in the envelope) and when the postman collects it. Again I'm looking at this this year, to cut down that time...
    _____________________________________________________

----> What other rewards are in the works, especially those similar to Love2Shop?

-*-*-> What can you suggest?? We're hoping to soon feature Boots, John Lewis, Argos and the Arcadia Group, as well as more Leisure Voucher rewards etc. These should all be coming online in the next while but if you know of any others please let me know.

Please note, we're trying for Amazon vouchers but aren't hitting much success. Unfortunately because of links with CD WOW! we won't be featuring Play.com on site for the foreseeable future...

    _____________________________________________________

----> Why have you scrapped the popular 10-point quizzes?

-*-*-> This really is down to commercial agreements and stuff. 10 PiggyPoint quizzes will be back, it's just we need to make sure it makes finanical sense for us to do them. We're looking at this at the moment.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Can you have an automated reply saying when our email arrive so we at least know you have them rather than waiting 3-7 days for answers?

-*-*-> Not automated, no. The risk of autoresponses causes problems with spam senders - we'd get such a volume of rubbish email into the office that the mail server will grind to a halt due to the quantity of responses that might be generated.

In other words - say you sent a reply and we sent an auto response, but you had an auto response (as some people do) saying "thanks, I'll get back to you as soon as possible" - our autorespose would hit yours and they'd be sending each other mails all day.

Open that up to all the spam and virus senders (validating email address with responses etc) and 250,000 email addresses of members and see what fun we'd have?

What I'll do is we'll ensure we answer and acknowledge every email (whether we resolve the issue or not) within 24 hours of receipt of the message. Again
spam filters and not being added to safelists can cause issues and we're looking at ways around this at the moment.

    ____________________________________________________

----> Why did you promise 6 click-thrus a week and most of us only get 3, or was it simply the wording was wrong as this applies only to new users?

----> And we've not had a proper answer as to why some people get different Monday click-throughs when they are signed up for the same interest categories - as evidenced today, where some folk are getting 10 points for the HQ Hair ad.

-*-*-> This is also something we're looking at. We update the site every Monday with new 10 PiggyPoint (or featured in our language) offers - but it seems that it's only that if you haven't earned PiggyPoints from it already (when it was a 10 PiggyPoint offer) that you see it. This is also something I'm looking at.

----> Are the 10-point click-throughs posted simultaneously for everyone, or do different batches of PB members receive offers at different times?

----> Are some click-throughs for 10 points programmed so that you have to click on them a number of times before the 10 points become available? This seems to have been the case a couple of times in the past.

-*-*-> I would imagine this is because people are on different servers, but everyone should have them within an hour at most.

    _____________________________________________________

----> What other changes does Pigsback have in mind?

-*-*-> What other changes can you suggest?? On a personal level and as a member (for even longer than I've been with the site longer than I've worked with them) I'd like to see better content and exclusive offers, bigger competitions, an improvement of their member services, an improvement in rewards.

As for the rest - that's up to you. For example a lot of you have said "Give us more shopping partners" - like whom??

    _____________________________________________________

----> Where did you get the feedback that most users are happy with the new changes which was hilariously put on replies to our emails concerning the loss of the quizzes?!

-*-*-> I'm afraid I'm not familiar with those emails... However what I believe is that once all the PiggyPoints are reallocated members will be happy with the amount of PiggyPoints on offer.

Of course the best way to earn is to avail of the offers and shop online.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Can the rules for the betting be changed so it is no longer possible to lose points on a winning bet?

-*-*-> That I'm not sure of. I'll check it out and get back to you. I see the logic in the question of course!

    _____________________________________________________

----> Why are quizzes (and lately advent calendar promotions) so delayed in appearing, surely it’s simple enough to program these in to change at certain times?

-*-*-> You'd imagine that wouldn't you? And it will be. It's just a matter of getting things up and running. Hopefully these issues won't reappear this year!

    _____________________________________________________

----> As the MSE board is more active than the Pigsback forum can you commit to coming on here at regular intervals for the near future?

-*-*-> Yes, I'll try my best to be on here at least once a week. Some MSE members have very kindly offered to keep me posted on any urgent queries that come in, but hopefully in a couple of months I won't need to be here at all (except to read the compliments) ;)

    _____________________________________________________

----> What other retailers do you have in mind using, there have been many suggested on here such as Play etc which would make excellent partners and would keep many of us returning to Pigsback?

-*-*-> Again, your suggestions really count on this one. We approach as many companies as we think would fit the site but it's often a waiting game of chicken and egg - you must have a high membership for some clients to give you good content and the only way you'll have a high membership is to get good content from clients!

Any and all you can suggest will be considered.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Is there any chance of any other online vouchers?

-*-*-> Yes definitely - just let us know what ones you want and we'll look into it. Providing all the financials are correct, we'll get them on board.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Why do CD WOW! vouchers cost more proportionally the higher the value reward?

And why do electronic vouchers have such a higher cost anyway, it doesn't cost £2.05 to send a £8.75 voucher code and we all know bulk buyers of vouchers get discount of the cost price anyway?

-*-*-> I'll look into this and get you a better answer than: remember we're a business and have a lot of expenses to cover - from the graphic designer who designs the images for the rewards to the copy-writer who writes the text to the tech guy who looks after getting it sent to you... So we have to look at all that as well!

And of course the bottom line for every business is profit...

    _____________________________________________________

----> Is there a way to stop UK users inadvertently using Irish links and potentially getting kicked-off because of this?
----> why can UK users still access Irish links - admittedly not directly through Pigsback but by links posted by others?
----> Are we going to get our accounts suspended for clicking irish links when we didn't know they were?

-*-*-> We are working on this and yes, UK users won't be kicked off for INNOCENTLY using a posted Irish link - but in August it was just silly, with people blatantly taking advantage... As far as I know you shouldn't be able to do this any more. Here's a test. Try

    http://www.pigsback.com/offers/195446193/default.asp

and let me know what you see....

    _____________________________________________________

----> Just out of interest, how much has been raised for each of the charities n the rewards page?

-*-*-> I'll get an updated figure on this, but can (and am very proud to) tell you that as of Midnight on 2-Jan-2006, 5,530 Pigsback.com members have donated 5,611,912 PiggyPoints to Charity. Not sure how much to whom but is controlled very fairly.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Again out of interest, what is the demographical distribution of Pigsback members, for example 99% live in SE London?!

-*-*-> This seems to be some bug in the system - obviously they don't. I'll find this out and get it fixed.

    _____________________________________________________

----> When Pigsback states please allow 14 days for delivery is this 2 weeks or 14 working days?

-*-*-> It's 14 working days. I'm looking at seeing if it's possible to get this reduced but for the moment that's what it's at.

    _____________________________________________________

----> How about bonus birthday points for users?

-*-*-> Definitely. We're trying to get this launched as soon as possible!

    _____________________________________________________

----> Maggogy: will i ever get my 2x 100 points for cdwow purchases? i got a cdwow voucher on 26/09 and never got the 200 points
will my hubby ever get his love2shop voucher he never received? are we ever going to get these rewards please? im more worried about the love2shop voucher...

-*-*-> Interesting... Well all PiggyPoints for CD WOW! purchases should be credited to your account within 24 hours. (and not working hours ;))

I'm not sure what you mean by "i got a cdwow voucher on 26/09 and never got the 200 points" - you don't get PiggyPoints with a voucher. You get them for purchasing, but if you buy with a voucher you won't earn PiggyPoints!

The L2S voucher - have you emailed postmaster about this? Please follow the instructions above.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Dragonfly02: Im still waiting for lightspeed points from months ago, i've sent many emails to the postmaster@pigsback address, i've included an alternative email account incase there are problems with my spam filters and i have altered my spam filters when using hotmail, and I have had NO reply
    whatsoever. Please help

----> JGjet - 2ND that, been waiting AGES! (see Dragonfly02's question)

----> Nitewalker - I am still awaiting my 400 points from the Lottery could you please advise when i might get them. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Keep up all your good work and effort.

-*-*-> Now that's also interesting. If you haven't gotten them already please follow the same instructions for emailing postmaster and we'll look into it.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Jmcateer: I am on Irish site. My wife and son joined but are on UK site. As irish site is more relevant can they transfer?

-*-*-> Yes, that's no problem - they can change. Just ask them both to email postmaster@pigsback.com following the instructions above.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Kazzea: as you know already my family are all pigsback mad (myself, one of my brothers, my parents and my Aunt) We are all members at the same address.

This is not a problem (I sorted it all out with Pigsback that having so many people was ok) However my brothers girlfriend moved in with us a few months ago and she wants a Pigsback account of her own - I have discouraged her so far as I don't want my account (or anyone elses in the family) closed because Pigsback think we are "trying it on" My question is would this be ok??

-*-*-> Pigsback mad eh? Of course this is fine - we just need to hear from her if there's any problems and she may be asked to verify her identity over the phone with passwords and stuff but yes that's fine. Just email postmaster@pigsback.com if there's any problems.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Deeds: I didn't / still haven't received my (boots ) voucher ordered back in JULY!

----> Also still waiting for my Stress piggies I ordered months and months ago, told in an email it was being looked into, and I am still waiting....

-*-*-> I'm amazed by this - we've DEFINITELY sent them all. Can't understand how these things go missing! Please email postmaster@pigsback.com as above and we'll resend one to you.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Comicmankev: Any chance we can swap our redeemed vouchers? I started collecting with my partner and here Dad. Then I decided to get everyone to get Outback vouchers and put them all together towards a meal. She just received her voucher (and we've all redeemed ours but not got them yet).

The bad part is they are just £5 OFF, and not £5 vouchers!!!! Now, this is certainly not a deal. The voucher that is free on your site offering a free
starter is worth more than that. Seriously, this is a really bad deal and am not happy with 3 on their way to us which are no use at all!

-*-*-> Completely agree with that - but the vouchers have now changed to not be £5 off coupons, but £5 vouchers as advertised, so more than one can be used per meal...

    _____________________________________________________

----> Bluemango: Have you managed to sort out the link for ASOS as I was told that is was MY ERROR for not getting points for my order, as I had not clicked on the link correctly.

----> MrMe: I had exactly the same problem, tracking with asos is not working (at least not for everyone although I have never heard of anyone getting points from shopping with them) I have also tried contacting pigsback only to be told it must be my fault. I am owed nearly £20 in points have sent all of my confirmation emails & even asked if it could be something to do with pop up blockers or browser issues but it was me that didn't do it right Oh & still waiting on my lottery points & a Love 2 Shop voucher but for some reason I STILL love pigsback

----> I placed 2 orders with them and recieved NO POINTS for any, no response to emails until I sent it everyday then was told again MY ERROR and nothing you could do (I know many other people have have the same experience with ASOS points).

-*-*->I wasn't aware there was a problem but I'll look into it. Can you forward your latest postmaster response to postmaster@pigsback.com and just ask them to put it to my attention (Darragh)

    _____________________________________________________

----> Soprano: I ordered a cdwow voucher LAST MONDAY and it has not yet arrived. I have sent 4 emails, but not one has been answered. I would rather not use this forum to ask questions, but feel I have no choice.

-*-*-> Not sure what to answer to this as I feel you must have got your voucher, but if you're ever waiting for longer than you should, please go to your homepage, then to REWARDS, enter your password if required and then go to COLLECT REWARDS and your code should be waiting for you. Again we're working on a syetm to let you know if we're experiencing stock level issues.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Arkonite_babe: I have just sent the following email to Pigsback:

Hi, I redeemed my piggy points for a cd wow voucher on 9.11.05 This still hasn't been credited to my rewards section. Neither have my lottery points from September been credited. The last time I redeemed poiggy points for cd wow it only took two days, can someone please explain what is going on?

I have also emailled yourself as per request in the Pigsback thread. Please can I have some feedback as to what is going on.

-*-*-> Please see above for CD WOW! response. As for the Lottery Points - please email postmaster@pigsback.com as above.

    _____________________________________________________

----> Rchddap1 - any news on the larger value CD-Wow vouchers that you were going to investigate for me? Kazzea wants to know this too

    -*-*-> Done!

    _____________________________________________________

----> Mumof3 - I'd forgotten about the stress pigs, yes, where are they?? I ordered them for everyone at work and was going to use them to bulk out stockings.

They are still available to 'buy' with piggy points, so you can't have run out of those too!!

-*-*-> How many did you order? Could you resend your mail to postmaster@pigsback.com as above please?

    _____________________________________________________

----> Freyaluck: would it be possible to get a link set up to tescos.com I know they have an affiliate program in place, just a thought?

-*-*-> Will definitely look into this!

    _____________________________________________________

----> Rchddap1: One further question...any idea when the 'outdoor category won't select' issue is going to be sorted. I'm still having problems.

-*-*-> GRRRRRR!! I thought this had been fixed!! Thanks for highlighting it for me - I'll get onto it this week!
