Q: The average annual saving for consumers who switch gas:

not sure... In the uswitch website it says you save on average £140 for both fuels and can reduce their annual gas bill by £75. There is a choice of £140 in the list, but not £75. Maybe then they mean how much can you save if you switch both? Or am I missing something?...

Says here "Visitors to uSwitch.com can save up to £170 on their annual gas and electricity bills."?. Just wonder what is the correct answer?.

Arkonite_babe: I have just sent the following email to Pigsback:

Hi, I redeemed my piggy points for a cd wow voucher on 9.11.05 This still hasn't been credited to my rewards section. Neither have my lottery points from September been credited. The last time I redeemed poiggy points for cd wow it only took two days, can someone please explain what is going on?

I have also emailled yourself as per request in the Pigsback thread. Please can I have some feedback as to what is going on.

-*-*-> Please see above for CD WOW! response. As for the Lottery Points - please email postmaster@pigsback.com as above.

    Darragh,

I did this as per Pigsback guidelines if anything goes wrong. I also included the confirmation email from National Lottery to show that I had signed up. I received a rather snotty reply saying that there was no record or my actions. However as a gesture of goodwill (yeah right!) I was getting my said points. These were finally awarded on 18th November.

I do not take kindly to being called a liar. If it wasn't for the fact that I had genuinely signed up for the lottery I wouldn't have bothered chasing the points because it is so much hassle.

I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people here and will be cashiong in my piggy points as soon as I have enough to redeem for something worthwhile.

For the record, I'm on the Irish site and since you launched the UK site, our Irish site (well NI for me) has gone seriously down the pan. I joined Pigsback in 2003 and have used it regularly since then, though I have had to re register as my original login stopped working.

My final thought on the whole fiasco? If you looked after the piggies you already have you might find more new ones join in. We tend to spread the word about things we like.

    Hey Darragh,

Just a quick point, i registered for the Poker tournament on January the 4th, however for some reason i am not put down as registered on the PaddyPower poker software. Also there is only 24 people registered, compared to normally 60 or 70. From the looks of it the players from the UK site (like me) have not been registered by paddypower for some reason as the players already registered are all from ireland.

    Thanks

Cheers for all of the responses Darragh - working late tonight I see :) One minor thing - as the Spotlight quiz is now a win 1000 points - can the winner be posted for that the same way the Rustlers quiz winner is ???

yeah - these ones were available not that long ago - so I assume most people won't have them
  • Thanks again to Binxy and Darragh for all the questions and answers.
I'm not going to be recommending Pigsback as readily as I was, but I'll stick with it myself. If everything Darragh says happens (especially the poss. return of a 10point quiz and birthday presents!) then it should be worthwhile, and at the end of the day it is free!

    Happy new year!
