I think 3 days running may be the limit Fay, don't want the sheep to smell you coming, do we?:rotfl:

My little pony socks for me today, pink and yellow!

Went to work and had to come home again, I am too stuffed up with cold to be able to function. I have had to put the heating on as well, combined with the £12 I spent in Boots on the way back home, on tissues, paracetemol and other cold things, this is not a very economical day!

I get paid tomorrow so have finally sorted out my finances and have worked out that if I am very strict with money, I can break even on the saddle and car expenditure. I won't be able to pay much off the A&L card, but at least the debts will still be going downwards!

    Today I have/will
    • sparkle dimly
    • make soup
    • do finances
    • keep warm and blow nose a lot :D
    • stay in touch with you all day :D

  • Oh Piq - keep well - good news about the saddle and the car stuff - I need make appoiintment with my bank and change my account to a student one - I know I have been MEANING to do this for ages. Also comtemplating closing one bank account (I have two) but it means losing an overdraft - whilst I am a good juggler I dont know that I can lose a whole overdraft straight off, but maybe I am just being pathetic. Security blankets and all that.

Have to admit to keeping my overdraft, it costs £5 a month, but gives me the safety net you refer to. Also, at this moment in time it's a lot cheaper than my credit card interest, I'm concentrating on clearing the highest interest one, then will do a review of finances....until then the overdraft remains...

Even when debt free I know I'm still going to keep my overdraft facilities available. I'd not sleep with worry if I didn't know it was there. However good I knew I was going to be.

I like knowing it is there.

    Afternoon all!

Today I have been to toddler group and done 2 mystery shops at shops opposite so didnt even spend extra on petrol!

This afternoon I'll be doing lots of baking for my little boy's birthday party on Sat - he's going to be 2 so he wont be a baby anymore :( and I'm not allowed another one until we are debt free which is a pretty good incentive actually!

    Have a good day all

  • Yeah I know, I am just weighing up having two bank accounts - and wondering if its worth the hassle, (and expense) but when one bank messes up at least the other one is ok - I paid my cc using overdraft like you said, better interest rate, its a nice net don't know i am ready for a big jump yet - just am so annoyed with the bank at the mo - back to the writing!!

I've got two bank accounts, but one is semi-dormant - only the loan payment to that bank goes through it. It has an overdraft facility, but I don't use it at all. However, the bank account is there and running should I need it in an emergency.

To be honest, I have enough difficulty running one account properly :o let alone two...

I'm with kt on this one, keep the facility and hopefully not have to use it!
