Is anyone else having problems with their No7 compact trimmer? Mine keeps stopping and I have to push it together. It seems to be that the battery compartment is loose. I was going to try to get one as a present (if I can get my hands on one because they seem to be like gold dust) but if this is a common problem I might not bother.

Yes, I've had problems with mine. The 1st one didn't work at all - took it back for an exchange and decided to try the new one in the shop to make sure it worked. It did not  Onto no. 3 - that didn't work either. Finally, on trimmer no. 4 I got one that worked. The SA was very surprised, she said they hadn't had any problems previously with them.
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p

Proud to be BSC no. 103
  • Many thanks for that Caroleuk will try that tommorow.

I had a wasted journey today too :(

My 1/2 price P+P bleeped on the £17.75 one so had to abort that transaction

    - and the camera I'd chosen to get with my pts was oos

    - plus the SA didn't give me a pinky even though my receipt said I'd earned one

Definately one of those days when I should have stayed in bed :o

Bad news about the end of the TS too!!

With the s&g bits, if you pay using your advantage card you save 1/3 on selected items, if you buy £15 worth of bits (i don't know if it's £15 after points or before) you can get the miniatures free, ] Quote from Amylou87

You have to spend £15.00 before points are taken off so £15 costs you 999 points and you get the GWP. HTH

i looked for this offer in Eldon Square Boots in Newcastle, even though there were 2 girls dressed in soap& glory uniforms they said they had never heard of it. has anyone seen it advertised in any north east boots? :(

As someone asked earlier, I'd also like to know if anyone knows when the S&G gwp ends? Quite possibly it ends Tuesday?

I got a set today and really like it and the items I bought to get it; if my hair looks as good when it's fully dry as it does now at half dry, then I *must* go back for some more of that Hair Supply!

Went over Middlesbrough with a fine tooth comb on Friday and sel's had full prices up and the asterix which indicates can be paid with points but no mention of a deal, Teesside Park had very little in stock and same sal'e as Middlesbrough. Will be trying Guisborough tomorrow and report back if any good but as this one is a tiny store I wouldn't think it would be available.

Sorry - my shopping habits don't go much further North than that - with twins to feed, eating out is not an option when alone I have to plan round trips which can be done within three hours!!!
  • Just thought i'd mention to any Boots staff reading this that the next 3 days are double discount days ...:j :j :j .

I'll now tell y'all about my weird bootsing day! It was crazy.
I went to the westfield store, they hadn't got the s&g set that i wanted from the 342. So, didn't bother with any of my 342 items from there. :(
I paid for some food and little bits like the no7 heated eyelash curler on a ss till. It short changed me by £5 but the sa took £5 out of the closest till to give me! :D I was totally freaking out.
Then i went to oxford st trying to get my 342 items, but they only had 2 of the 3 items in about 3 of the stores.... I eventually found all 3 in one of the stores... which had ss tills. I messed up! :( I got the 3 items i wanted plus the no7 half price mirror, but couldn't find my TS but did use my pinky! really wanted it for £10 not £15 but stupid bf goes "well it's only £5!" yeah coming from mr rich to lil miss student. :( annoying... but he is paying me back for one of my 342 items, my sister another and my nan the third! :D so really i spent about £20 and got £100ish worth of stuff! plus lots of lovely points.
(Btw, i'm not spoilt it's my birthday in 3 weeks so they're presents! lol!)

I spoke to a really nice lady in the westfields store, I looked after her stand for her, was very tempted to sell her stuff for her but my bf wouldn't let me. :(
anyway, she had no idea about the 1/3 off using points! I'm guessing it's not within those bits it's just random stands.
My local store, southampton does have the 1/3 off when you use your points! :j (Maybe a list should be made for where you can use them.... :o) there's also some fcuk bits on the stand too.
