Cant see this mentioned in CPGs first two posts and as it does not effect me dont know if it has been posted before!!!!

Today my MIL was in Boots and was asked if she was over 60, which she is. She was asked to fill in a form, tick a few boxes and apparently she will be sent out some kind of 'pack'.

She then received 10% off the top price off her shopping!!! eg. she puchased some cream at £14 used a 'pinkie' taking it down to £9 then got a further £1.40 off.

I dont know if she will have to say everytime she shops now or if it will be recognised when she uses her advantage card.

The sales assistant said that she does not like to ask customers in case she offends. My MIL does not like being a pensioner too much but she is getting used to it!!!

Yeaeeeeeeeeaaah:j ..one day................. I will find some Time delay wipes left on the shelf:rotfl:

try a pack before you stock up on them coz when they changed the packaging they changed the formulation too and i had to give away 3 packs that i'd managed to get as they made me all blotchy (didn't happen with ones in pink packaging!)

I think I'll be stocking up on the radiance cream this time as it's brilliant at making my winter skin look a bit more healthy

    Hi Kay

I tried to use the one I got in Brum, in Walsall - the lovely Sa tried it for me and it came up not valid in this store or on this date - so you can try but I think it's only in the place where it states

So then they would have all different bar codes?

Oh right, thanks for replying. Was it over this weekend though, because there's only been one xmas event near me anywhere.

But if it does say not valid at this store it sounds like it doesnt make a difference. So i'll stick to the store I went to, hoping they'll have everything I plan to get. thanks for your help :)

Had a horrible experience Bootsing today, where the manager (!) was extremely unpleasant to me for my use of vouchers and said I was well known in the store. I don't want to post any details cos who knows who reads this, but she really upset me and I left the store almost in tears. This then totally messed up the rest of my shopping expedition as I was so upset. I'm not going to call CS as I have a lot of points on my card - genuinely acquired, but who knows with Boots logic how safe they are. Feel really helpless about this.

If I think about it logically, I left without buying what I'd intended ( and had spent flippin' AGES choosing!) so I saved money and the shop lost a sale, but I don't think I will dare go in there again.

Sorry for off topic, but I figured you lovely ladies would understand how a bad Bootsing experience can dent your confidence in so many ways.

I lost my mojo recently after a few things, so I feel for you, seems mad that it can upset us so much, but I totally understand what you mean.

If you have only used your own vouchers I would call CS over this though.

Also if you have lots of points you my be best spending them, or reducing them to a level that you would not mind if they were lost. I only say this as it appears that a few people have had issues with stores then found cards cancelled shortly after. Makes you wonder if your 'reported' by the store etc

FYI I used the UG elixir tonight - my hair is sooo shiny and soft! :T
The Ugg elixir is very good I also used it tonight. I only needed about a third of the bottle and I have quite long hair.It makes it nice and straight. Not witchy , like it usually is.

Can I just add my vote for this product, too. used it on Fri eve (before taking DH and two DSs out for a lovely meal - how civilised!) and my husband (of 20 years, so not given to compliments for nothing!) said several times how nice my hair was looking. I was very extravagant and used a whole bottle (have long hair) but may try with less next time.

I'd also gve a big thumbs up to the UG Dazzling Shine Deep Conditioner in the yellow tube - recently got round to using one that I bought a while ago (;)) and have been really impressed with that, too.
  • I am new to this and got my first pinkie today, it's for No7 what is the best deal I can use this for? I also managed to get some Valentino rock n roses perfume that was on clearance for £3.75. This was limited to 1 per customer, it smells better than I thought it would too.

can anyone confirm if this is nationwide? My best friend loves this perfume.

Still looking for anyone to confirm end date for sonic brushes.

thanks Minimoneyme...sadly brush foundation not on clearance in our area and i dont like it very much anyway..no replacement for a good foundation brush

sorry to hear that clare+3 (((hugs))) It's horrible when this happens. It hasn't happened to me in boots (touch wood) but when I was into tescoing with h&b, quit and so beautiful vouchers, the supervisor at my local store called the manager to the till. I was so embarrassed. The whole shop turned around to see what was going on:o I didn't go into that store again for nearly a year.

Is there another boots nearby you can go to? we only have one in my town, and I'm very careful about which vouchers I use in there, as everyone (including the manger:eek: ) knows me very well. This is why I haven't tried the 3 4 2 glitch with the R&M set and a tillspit and pinkie, despite spotting about 20 on the shelf today. I just couldn't take that risk, even though my favourite SA was on the till. I'm waiting until I get to a store with SS tills to have a go. I will just have to be patient:rolleyes:
