Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Westfield was HUGE!! My friend and I only managed to get round about a tenth of it, as we are both old, but merry, and go on lots of Jollies. Never pay for a full price meal, only 2 for 1s.

Shook with nerves doing the Pinkie thingy at the s/s. An assistant came over and said "Shall I help you 2 girls?" (old enough to be her grandmother)and we both yelled "NO!"

Then I said that we had to learn to do it ourselves, even though we're old and feeble. So I scanned and my friend packed. Every time someone came near I kept thinking the Pinkie Police were on their way.

I then got a t/s (ha ha, listen to me, I sound like I've been doing it for ages), so got My Jolly Friend to give me her stuff, then put her Pinky Thingy in, plus my t/s, that I'd just got, then we went off, and were asked if we wanted a free hand massage and back massage, that was great.

I think we were asked cos we look old, harmless, and possible buyers of all the products used. Which we are not. Then we went back to the s/s tills and did it again.

By that time, our arms were killing us, so we went, but we are fired up to do it all again tomorrow!

Now, what I need to know is

    1. Where are s/s tills in Greater London. We have Freedom Passes (God Bless You, Boris), so don't pay a thing to travel on bus or tube.

    2. Woss it all mean, when you say "I got the Mens No7 and the GWP". I'm trying desperately to work that one out and wonder if it means Guy With Pots-of-money. No wonder you're all rushing all over the country talking about Men's Things, if you get a free man thrown in as well!

    3. Why couldn't we get another blooming mirror, a £5 gift set, and a £5 box of chocolates and use the 3 for 2, and the Pinkie Thingy and the t/s? It didn't like this, so we abandoned that idea smartish, and ran away. Well, walked as fast as we could.

    4. Do you just have to buy Ladies Gift Sets, or are there interesting Male Things that you can buy. That only cost a fiver. Our pensions are weeny.

The bonus was - it was freezing today, but as we were on nice warm trains, and it was tropical in Westfield - we saved on the heating! Gotcha Gordon!!

    Hi Sanda,

Lol at your post, very funny :rotfl:

GWP means "gift with purchase", currently Men's NO7 is on 342 and when you spend £15 you get a GWP :D

    Hope that helps

Time for bed for me I think. I'm jiggered! Didn't actually do any work at work, but that's a different story. Just found a huge bag of Minstrels in my room, woohoo. Anyone wanna come and join me? Bring some pizza, chips and crisps please. Wooohoooo!

We should get some matches sorted for the Calendar knockout. How about some wrestling matches? I can just imagine Broclo V Pash, and Nuninge V Pollsdolls. Just joking! Catch you all next week.

Hope you all have a good BOOTSing session tomorrow. Kisses to all. :p:p

I am way too old for a calendar (Scary  )
and too many bits missing/replaced for wrestling.

    Good billing though.....
BOOTS sponsor 61 yr old pensioner, wrestling tonight.

Can't remember exactly off the top of my head but think that you press finish and pay before you put the vouchers in. THere is then a button that says coupon which you can press and the till then tells you to scan the coupon and then insert it (once you've checked that the amount has come off). When I do it, I'm sometimes not given the option to put any more coupons in and there is only a button saying no more coupons so I press that and then press finish and pay again and it takes me back to the screen where I can press coupon again and add another one. Not sure if that helps at all or if it is literally the tills that you are using that are set up differently and therefore causing a problem. Hope you're not put off from using them forever.

Thats what i done :) Other people had said though that they scan the coupons before pressing finish and pay and it works:confused:

where did you get so many coupons from?
Mostly from swaps but a few from giveaways. (always ones mainly) Thats what makes it even more annoying that i swapped a load of tesco coupons and nss mocs for them that i could've used myself :(

    1. Liverpool Street, Bond Street, Bond Street tube station, Oxford street, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road (oxford street end not other one), Canary Wharf (near Waitrose) and Victoria Place :)

2.There is a mens gift with purchase when you spend £15 on mens at the moment, plus mens is on 3 for 2...so you need to buy £15 worth BEFORE the 3 for 2 kicks in. So you can get three of cheapest mens bits at £6.50(face scrub, face wash, hair and body, shave gel, anti shine lotion). The till reduces it down to £13...so £8 with pinky or £3 with pinky and till spit :) Inside there is a 250pt coupon for mens no7 also :)

    3. Mirror needs to be scanned first and not be cheapest item on 3 for 2 as far as I can see

Oh I need help here. What gift do you get with the Men's No 7 stuff. Do you just pick anything you fancy? So like, do you take FOUR things to the s/s till, 3 of which cost £5, and put these 3 through, and it discounts the third cos it's a 3 for 2 whatsit. And then you put your fourth freebie gift through and it says "Hi gorgeous. You don't have to pay a THING".

Then you put your pinkie through, then your t/s, and you've got 4 things for nothing? Really? Are there any Boots open 24 hours that I could go to?

Great post SS. There is a new Womens(Gift with purchase) next week with No7. At the moment there is just the mens ones. So save some of your pinkes & Till spits for that.

The pinky police tend to be the SA's that work on the No7 counter, where you should never go be served. (Not if you want to get good offers anyway):rotfl:
