Hi everyone, still in shock at all the same symptoms I have cropping up on here, abandoning the bra, yes I've had to do that, can't bare it anymore.
On the plus side I have found a wonderful consultant, he will be trying to sort out my coccyx on 24th dec, yes christmas eve but luckily I won't have to cook 25th, injection and manipulation, if this doesn't work he will then remove it, thank god.
Seeing how a lot of our diagnisis are the same does anyone else have PCOS also?
Ali
Hi Ali :hello:
Oooh sounds nasty. I've heard of others doing the same though so hope it helps for you
Forgive my ignorance but what's PCOS?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Hope everyone has a splended weekend!:j0 -
good evening
aliandy i hope the op works for you, i dont have that pain but it must be terrible
do you know i never thought about my bra hurting me!! after work i have to undo my bra when im sat about and in the evening i undo it as i get a pain when i breath when its on as if its too tight but i know it isnt?? i get a really bruised feeling around my rib cge i never thought about it being to do with the fms i just thought i was uncomfortable but its the same pain all the time after iv had it on for a few hours. DH laughs at me laid on the sofa as he will see me undo it and just says .. you let 'em all hang out lol,
do you know how much better it makes me feel that other people have so many symptoms the same as me? not better that other people are in pain i dont meanjust that after me thinking for years and years that im just a whinge as i seem to have endless things wrong its reassuring to know that fms DOES give so many symptoms. A 'friend' recently thought she was doing good looking it up on the t'internet to try to understand and said to me so you just have some pains all the time then? JUST some pains?? i wish thats all it was and a paracetamol would help. Shes one though that when i say i dont sleep well she will say oh i had a bad night too and if im walking funny her back will be bad too
you have all made me decide though that when i have a gp appointment next week im not going to say im doing ok when she asks, im going to tell her everything that hurts :rotfl: and ask for painkillers and take them constantly whilst we have this cold weather and see if it makes a difference
iv rabbited on quite long enough and will learn when to be quiet before you all start sneaking out as i come in
have a good weekend everyone and i hope its a well one XXX2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

Hi raeh and all, I have big problems with the M.E. my body hurting all over and especially around the rib area. It's not only the bra I can't cope with but staying dressed at all! I get up in the morning and take the Pregabalin 200g, baclofen 60g and co-codamol and just wait to get some relief before I can function. If then I get dressed, after a couple of hours (if that) I have to get back into my pyjamas and oh what relief! It's not much fun is it! So glad so many here have the same problems - at least I don't feel that it's all in the mind
Sorry to hear aliandi that you are having such a bad time of it, hope you feel a lot better after the operation.;)
Hope you all have a better day tomorrow after a good night's sleep!:rolleyes:0 -

I see my gp on a regular basis (she likes to see me every 6-8 weeks to see how I'm doing) and although I have found her really excellent, I do sometimes wonder what she thinks when I walk through the door - oh no, here she comes again! HA!;)
I do tend to play things down a bit because I'm worried she will say it can't be that bad - not that she would but you know what I mean.0 -

Lol I know the feeling. Sounds just like my OH
I used to have marks/bruises from my bra straps. I still get (lighter) marks from the (lighter) elastic in the croptops. And as someone else posted (forgotten who now ) I get marks/bruising from belt buckles etc when I wear them.do you know how much better it makes me feel that other people have so many symptoms the same as me? not better that other people are in pain i dont meanjust that after me thinking for years and years that im just a whinge as i seem to have endless things wrong its reassuring to know that fms DOES give so many symptoms. Hear, hear. It's a relief to know you're not on your own with it, and that you're not making it up/a hypochondriac/have munchausens by proxy! I got so paranoid about people thinking I was making it all up, or making out like I was making it seem worse than I was, that I wouldn't look into any tests or potential diagnosis' on the internet incase I saw symptoms I didn't have at the time but later developed! ...If I hadn't read it, I couldn't've brought it on myself! It's ridiculous, I know - but people just don't realise what effect their words have on someone who is already downtrodden/insecure/fed up.
Another "friend" told me a few months ago that I was lazy, workshy and just couldn't be bothered to get a job cos they'd take my benefits off me. She also told me that my symptoms weren't symptoms and that she knew all about ME cos she'd had it and her step-dad had researched it. I cannot tell me how much it wound me up! :mad:Shes one though that when i say i dont sleep well she will say oh i had a bad night too and if im walking funny her back will be bad too
I do hate that. And it happens *all* the time. I find my patience and empathy for other peoples "minor" ailments is dissipating too...it's not deliberate but I really struggle to have sympathy (esp with OH ) for any prolonged period of time when it's a matter of tooth ache... when I'm aching all over, can hardly stand up, concentrate, sleep or breathe properly!
iv rabbited on quite long enough and will learn when to be quiet before you all start sneaking out as i come in

I have quite a good relationship with my GP too. I always make a bit of a joke about me being there...yet again  I'll walk in and say something like "Aw, c'mon, you know you missed me!"He sees me so often he's even asked about our wedding plans and admired my (gorgeous!) engagement ring
I do get a bit arsey with him sometimes, esp when it was taking so long to get a diagnosis - I lost my rag during an appt, swearing and crying all at the same timehe reacted very well and I know he's not just trying to fob me off and he doesn't offer me platitudes... which definitely helps.

Bigzippy, PCOS IS Polycystic Ovaian Syndrome, causes lots of little, or major things to happen. Y ou are not ignorant x I am so looking forward to my Op, have been suffering with this darn coccyx pain for years, one guy told me there was nothing wrong and try bike riding!!! I can't sit let alone bike ride. I dunno, some people!!
Well as for wanting to wear Pj's all the time, it is me, I'm only dressed for a couple of hours a day, love my jim jams. Do you think we should have a pyjama party? Start at about 2.30 in the aft, then fall like flies when night falls.Or not in some cases. Ali x:beer:0 -

I severely hope I've not got PCOS, put it that way!My sister's had a LOT of trouble with her ovaries though so I'm not taking anything at all for granted. I do have (again sorry to the fellas!) mammoth period pains, but I think that (somehow) runs in the family. My night fevers are always worse, actually, scratch that, *everything* is worse around then too.
As for the jimjams - all I can say is All Hail PJs! :T Nothin beats a comfy pair of pjs. These days, if I'm not in my jimjams then I'm in tracky bottoms (not the chavvy ones and definitely not with my socks over the bottom) and lets face it, a good comfy pair of tracky bottoms is almost the same as the almighty pjs
I don't know about dropping like flies when the night falls... how about when the sun rises?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Oh you can't imagine how relieved I am that I'm not alone in this! I am in pyjamas the majority of the time. I don't leave the house much but whenever I do, I get dressed just a short time before leaving and as soon as I get back I hurt so much the first thing I do is get into pyjamas! I do try to get dressed everyday (at least for a couple of hours, or as long as possible) but there are days when it is impossible. If I don't I feel terrible, guilty, especially if someone calls during the day and I'm in my pyjamas!!
I have been up since 4am when I woke up in pain (all over aches), I took some co-codamol which did ease some pain. I know that today is going to be a pyjama day without a doubt! I have now taken pregabalin and baclofen and hope I shall feel the pain easing soon - oh what relief!
A pyjama party? Hmm, I think that is a good idea :rotfl:Perhaps start a pyjama appreciation society!;)0
