I just need the account details, so I can transfer enough to make it up to £5k!
And that's where you'll have to wait longer! And if you want to withdraw money, order a card reader, and wait further time still.
I opened another account recently (not with Tesco), and it was up and running, with full internet access in 5 working days, with no need to fill in and return any other forms.0 -
Well, the money have to reach the account by the end of November to determine how many points we get, isn't it? So, we still have plenty of time!
Besides, this account is mainly for getting the deal of 1500 points... Might keep the money there for a while, as the interest is not bad. If I don't get the points, the money are going out straight away!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

The additional clubcard points offer is based on the cleared balance at 30th Nov, providing the account was opened between 18th Sept and 12th Nov. The points should then show on your clubcard statement in Feb 2009.
It's the complexity and unnecessary form filling and returning, to get the account active online, which most of us find irritating. Then you can't make withdrawals until yet another long winded procedure is completed.
I've been banking online for years, with many accounts, and never experienced such a tedious and poorly designed process.
I suspect the rate will soon drop, so it's essential to be able to move the funds out in a timely manner.0 -
Posted off first cheque last week and today received the part 1 registration letter. However there is a sort code and account number. So to save waiting for the lengthy process, sending of signature and then part 2 of registration, can I not just pay money in now via BACs and beat the deadline of 30th Nov to qualify for points? I know that all the other steps have to be take for full online registration but can't I just put the money in now?
Edit. Looking back this was probably answered in the affirmative by isofa in post 620 -

I'd assume so, but... it might be worth waiting until you have on-line access and can see the account, then you can see the balance and transfers. BACS at the most should take 3-4 working days, and those with faster payment banks will clear the same or next day.0 -
Just decided to make a payment of £10 for now and it went by Faster Payment. I know that it will probably be a few weeks before I can see it in Tesco but at least they are now set up in my list of Payees. So when I get some Icesave money back I can move enough to get the points I want.0

Aehm, 500 points are worth £5. So in total one can get 2000 points meaning £20.
Therefore, where are the £60 resp. £80?
Never mind! I've missed the quadruple bit!Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom. - Proust0 -
I have 2 questions.
1.I opened one of these accounts on the 11th September, will i qualify for this £60 worth of cc points?
2. I want open another internet saver, just need to keep some savings in a separate pot, will this allow me to get the £60 and can i have another internet savings?
Thanks guys0 -
Finally got the registration code but no saving account showed on line. After 3 days of phone calls, they told me it had been wiped of their system by some one, and I would have to re-apply again. Its already taken me a month, so I just asked for my deposit back and told them I would take my banking else where, there was no apology or nothing. I knew I shouldn't have gone with them!0

Just adding to my own post-
