If you look in the other thread then that contains the details of the remaining amounts to be transferred.

The irony of all this is that if people hadn't panicked in the first place then there would be no 'backlog' and none of these issues would have occurred... Unless ING reduce the rate on the account I am keeping my money where it is.

ING are well known for getting people in and then cutting their rates.
From now on I`m not putting any money where`s it`s NOTcovered by the £50k UK FSA system.
    And ING is NOT

I'm glad someone started this thread. I've got 4 fixed term with KE which I'm leaving in but also a few bob in the normal KE account which I'm still trying to decide what to do with. It's heartening to know that if I do initiate a transfer it should go through smoothly but it's about time ING told us what they intend to do with us as clients. Treat us as new or existing etc. I for one haven't had any correspondence since the very first e mail nearly 2 weeks ago wasn't it?
  • i did a £700 bacs transfer from ke to my current account on oct 15th and it got there 5 days later. 2 days later than expected but got there. no big deal.

now the fuss has died down and ing have taken control then there'll be no problems in using it like i've always done, i.e. put money in at the beginning of the month and drip feed it back when i need it???

I guess I'm lucky - I did a CHAPS transfer yesterday for £30,000 that went through with no problems :j

I think you would expect them to ACCEPT payments with no problem but it does not make me feel any better still waiting for the BACS transfer I did on 6th October from KE. I have not had any direct reply from ING to emails and last night the KE website was acting up with regard to the secure message system. I don't trust either of them but I do remember at the beginning of this mess when the problem was thought to be only with Icesave, people were saying on MSE that Kaupthing was different and nothing to worry about and then....a few days later, they were proved wrong!

Just to update everyone: I did a BACS on the 20th October, it has arrived in my linked account today (23rd), so done within the standard 3 days!! I really hope everyone else has similar luck with their transfers!!

Just noticed that mine came in as a CHAPS when I requested BACS. No fee has been charged.
  • There's now an update from ING re 20th October onwards on the KE website.
    Hope this is of help
