Will be doing exactly that!!!! The munchkin needs two happy parents...
Of course we had to have cash sat in Kaupthing too.. That was fun when the money I transfered vanished!0 -
Just think, this time tomorrow we shall know how we are going to apply for our money/compensation and be a lot wiser for all the informative stuff the FSCS are going to produce to save loosing face.:rotfl:
I hope I can then stop holding my breath.0 -
The "harshness of the British authorities" in deal with this Banking conflict, The "shock of the Icelandic people" all mentioned by the Icelandic PM. I say ,SO WHAT THEY HAVE OUR MONEY, THATS SOMETHING TO BE SHOCKED ABOUT. This matter will affect peoples health both mental & physical if not deal with in a timeous manner. Call me weird but,not being able to access your funds certainly concentrates the mind. We must keep the pressure on and not allow apathy to set in, I'm sure that will not occur.0

Me as well ,as I have over 30k in savings locked away. I feel that we must have an update on the FSCS website by tomorrow or we must all write to our MP's
Another thing that concerns me is when the claim forms will eventually be sent out, I assume it will be 200,000 sent out at the same time and when we receive them we will all be posting them I assume as well as the same time by recorded delivery. Has anyone got any idea as to how many staff at The FSCS will be helping us on this because it could take forever on just sending them out and acknowledging their receipt when they are returned.
Also another point is that Alistair Darling said that no-one would lose out financially which appears to be a lie, as if we are not compensated for what looks like the minimum 3 month transition to get our money back anyone with at least 10k in their account will lose a minimum of about £150-200 interest if they are claiming their savings tax free.0 -

I hope and expect it will. Yet as time moves on people have a legitimate expectation to know and understand the procedure. lack of info causes uncertainty and distress.
My aim is first of all to try and show people what the score is - and to try and act as a more organised conduit if people need to protest. Fingers crossed as I have written above, that won't be needed.

To be honest it doesn't look like we will know anything this week either.0 -

If we don't get a PROPER update tomorrow, complete with timetable, then we should galvanise ourselves for a full scale public protest.
The lack of press on this matter is staggering. One tiny article in the little-read FT? Funny that all the popular papers were happy to plaster Icesave's adverts over their pages not so long ago...0 -
Appologies if this has been covered earlier in this thread or another, but I have been concentrating on my missing Kaupthing Edge payment for significantly more money than my missing Icesave payment.
The following payment never reached my linked account
"Interest Paid Out To Bank Details: Gross Interest £176.34, Net Amount £141.07, Tax Amount £35.27 Posted: 08/10/2008"
Does anyone know if I need to wait to claim through FSCS for this? Or is there another way?
I was luck enough to CHAPS my balance out on the 6th Oct, which turned up the same day.
Thanks for any advice
